I'm very eager to read this board when pictures of him in an Arizona jersey probably come out today or tomorrow

Didn’t know Self coached at Arizona. Maybe I misunderstood something, not understanding the connection there.
He cancelled on Kansas, a school who is in deep trouble to go to Arizona who is in deep trouble. Arizona is at least trying to fix it by firing their coach, Kansas didn't care and gave self a lifetime contract.

Had no idea KU gave Self a lifetime contract. Talk about denial, that’s on another level.

Lucky to have Cal. His success with players can offset some of this NIL garbage. At least with some families.

I remember J Wall saying Cal told him to not take any money from colleges or agents for that first year in order to not be beholding to anyone. Come to UK play and develop on the big stage in great surroundings and then he would get paid. It worked. Fox said Wall passed that advice on to him. It worked.

I wonder if by Cal giving that advice to Wall and the players he recruits, if it didn’t turn off a lot of AAU coaches.
These coaches push schools in hopes of getting some return once they get to the league and if the kids are not indebted to them then the players are free to sign with what ever shoe company they want.
I had heard on a podcast that AAU coaches were worried about losing the players once they have signed with UK so there must be something to it. Bobby Maze is one example of an AAU coach pushing the elite to Tennessee and yes I know he’s a former player there but still an example nonetheless

Maybe a commitment on said visit?! I realize they’re rare, but this is totally feasible, especially with this kid! Hopefully this transpires!
And kicks off a Wallace, Bona commitment that could possibly show Livingston he could be the missing piece of a New Fab 5.

will be visiting us again next weekend after cancelling his Kansas trip. Great sign for us.
Sharpe has said he will commit before the Nov. signing date, and I also think it will be UK. Think we can get Skyy, Sharpe, Smith or Wallace, Livingston, and hopefully Lively too.

Yea he’s probably gonna completely change his mind now
Not saying that but it does let other schools know to come up with better sales pitch. He does as far as we know have a meeting with one of the g leagues

Wonder if Wallace is still in Lexington and they are ‘conferencing’ with both targets?
