Looks like Clarke practiced today

It obviously upsets your agenda for UK to be bad so that is a given but getting a 11 point scorer back is never a bad thing. Nice try though...keep trying, we find it amusing
Your constant attack on people for having “agendas” is cringy. Most peoples’ ”agendas” on this board are for the success of UK, Cal, or both. I suppose there a couple of trolls and contrarians as well.

Clarke had two bad habits - he got in the air to pass with no where to go just about every time he penetrated - his other bad habit was a forward lean on his jumper - I see no way he risks playing at UK before he starts his career as a NBA free agent trying to make a team

If his injury was just that, an injury that took most of the season to heal, how do you inject him into the lineup at this point without disrupting what continuity the team has built up? Seriously, unless we win the SEC Tournament, our season is over. Why even care at this point if you are the coach?
It is not quitting as some call it, but more of facing reality and moving on to next season.
Continuity? We beat a HORRIBLE South Carolina team by a significant margin and all the sudden we have continuity? Oh my...

I expected you to say that since that has been your negative agenda. I wonder why he was wearing a boot to his classes and on the bench until a couple of games ago. To not play? I know you hope he doesn't play to further your agenda but to to say someone does not want to play when he tried to play while injured shows what kind of person you are to think otherwise.
Wait, do you have pics of him walking to class? These guys aren't going to class. They don't leave the lodge.

We have to win four games in four days.

Fatigue will be a factor.

One more body can’t hurt.

Idk, it would just rub me the wrong way. Obviously my opinion means nothing to him. He doesn’t know I exist nor does he care I exist. The same applies to all the people on here who have hero worship for the players, coaches and celebrities in general- they do not care about you or me.

But... really? Just now all of a sudden his “sprained ankle” is all better? After his teammates and team (and fans) needed him all year long during the worst season in Kentucky basketball history? The scholarship that could have gone to someone who appreciated it a bit more? Even though he’s been “seriously injured” it’s a fact that he’s still been using state of the art training facilities, basketball courts, some of the best trainers, nutritionists and strength coaches in the country along with staying and living for free in dope *** living quarters along with getting a TON of super nice swag (shoes; hoodies, warm up jackets, bags, headphones, arm bands, wrist bands, shorts, shirts, warm up gear- all popular name brand stuff. These guys (in addition to all of the above) legitimately get thousands and thousands $ worth of gear.

But Once the high profile SEC tournament comes around, all of a sudden he’s all better?

If that’s the case of course. This is his personal Instagram so it may just be normal 19 year old fluff he’s talking about. I do wonder the age of the people who follow these guys religiously post commitment on social media. Not my cup of tea but to each their own.

I agree with the sundowners on this one. We have no chemistry to ruin lol. I think injured Clarke is more steady at pg than Askew.

What? Why? I really dont think it's a good idea to put Clarke into this lineup as we're JUST starting to get things figured out. I don't need to see him put up 12 shots, make 2, and watch us lose, as he tries to show out for scouts. At this point, hang it up.
Who cares. We're not gonna run the SECT table anyway.

I guess I don't understand why some are making this out to be like oh Clarke all of a sudden got better.

Weren't we told that he was at least 3-4 weeks out..................3-4 weeks ago? Seems like he followed the logical timeframe that was given to us.

This is hilarious right here. You have repeatedly trashed every person on here that has said anything slightly negative towards Cal or anyone on the team and here you are, trashing Askew. I guess it's okay if you do it???

I wouldn't say all the sudden got better. He was obviously injured early in the year. Cal said a couple weeks a few times, then got frustrated that he was clear but kept complaining about pain. Then Cal backtracked a bit, a day or two later, there is a second opinion that said it found something, and it would require 4 weeks of rest to heal. Now, here we are 4 weeks later, and he is practicing.

The question is what the second opinion found, and whether it was legit or not. Maybe he just stayed out to protect himself, though there wasn't anything to really protect, other than a more significant injury. Or maybe the second opinion really did find something, and he is just now healing. If that is true, then UK needs an overhaul in their medical support team. Sure, a medical staff may miss something on you or I, but they aren't really looking that close. For a UK player, and a significant one at that, there shouldn't be a new discovery by a secondary source, or you aren't good at your job.

And lastly, I don't really think there is any kind of chemistry to really mess up if he decides to play. Clarke isn't going to take Mintz or Boston off the floor, so he is likely taking minutes from Askew/Allen/Toppin as the other perimeter player. He could help some for sure. While he isn't the greatest ball handler in the world, he handles it well enough to help on the perimeter, and definitely better than Toppin and Allen. If for nothing else, I would like to see him play in the tournament just so I could get a sense of what it could have been like if everybody had been healthy all year. If he plays against Miss St, it will be the first game all year that the entire roster was available.

Saying "I think injured Clarke is still better than Askew" is an insult any way you look at it.

You damn sure wouldn't think it was a compliment if you were Askew in that scenario.

It's still not trashing the kid, it's not always sunshine and rainbows and it's fair to think a guy might be better even coming off an injury. He didn't comment on Askew's skill set at all, just that he thought Clarke would be better.

I'd take MJ with the flu over almost anyone in the NBA at that time and that isn't an insult to anyone else just praise for MJ.

Shiieet. Slightly negative is a damn understatement for sure. I have trashed this team a lot this year and have never said anything positive about this team but I’m sure you have. Fire Cal!

I worry about the mentality of Clarke if he plays. Will he play for the team or for the scouts?? Could be detrimental if he has a “me first”, “get mine” attitude to try and resurrect his draft status.

Yeah. Not even that but even if he does play for the team, he hasn't played with them for months. Can he come in and gel with the team and make an immediate impact. Cause we really don't have any time for him to figure it out.

It's not to say that I don't think he should play if healthy. This team needs all the help it can get. It just makes me wonder if this team can just slot him right back in and play well.

Still don't think its worth experimenting. Believe it or not, this team has all the talent to make a Final4. It's the lack of experience and familiarity that bites them. I get the feeling that with Clarke back in there, there's going to be a lot of miscues and mistakes.

Cal has the benefit of seeing how he is doing in practice. Doubt he plays more than ten minutes total on Thursday if that so certainly not a game changer . However he can make a difference if we somehow pull off a miracle and win the SEC

I never said Cal should be fired. I've said "I'm done with him", meaning, I won't support his system or culture, but I didn't say he should be fired.

For someone who has trashed the team a lot this year, you have done a lot of calling out in the direction of those that are doing the same.

So, let me get this straight, you can trash the team and that's cool, but anyone that trashes Calipari is wrong? So your opinion is the only one that matters? You get to decide who should get trashed? It's okay to trash players that aren't making a dime, but you think it's messed up to go after the guy in charge that is making 1 million dollars per win?

You're trying to join the JFCats22 team huh?

Yeah, he trashed him, you just have to read between the lines, but just a little bit.

The MJ analogy is nowhere near the same as this. He was the greatest player of all time, Clarke is a guy that has been out for 3 months and wasn't very good before he got injured.

Lol I wasn't comparing Clarke to MJ, I was making the point that praising one person isn't trashing another.

Saying Clarke wasn’t even good is a horrible take. He was playing better than mostly everybody on the team before he got injured. And even Jackson was playing horrible that time of the year. I don’t understand why people don’t want him back. Worst case scenario is that he struggles on offense and is just a transition finisher and defensive specialist. And yes, he is instantly better than Askew right now on d. That’s not trashing Askew, it’s just a fact.

I'm sorry that with UK winning 4 out of the last 6 amd possibly getting a five star player back from injury goes against a lot of so-called fans agenda including yours but true fan would be excited about it.

Shush, all the old equality hating cone heads that love to wear bath robes in public won't take kindly to facts. They just want Cal and his "liberal" ways gone.

I personally don't care. All I want is UK to win the SECT and get in the dance. Not likely, but that's all I care about. If UK has to play Welch to do that, then so be it.

The tourney without UK in it is not acceptable.
