I know Kansas is not a football power house but I believe it will help The Mountaineers get off on the right foot going into the conference part of the schedule.

A convincing win at KS should help WVU break into the top 25.

Not that it matters in the long run, but beating Kansas won't do much more for WVU's rankings than beating East Carolina and Delaware State.
However, trampling TCU and Texas Tech will get my alma mater into the top 25. One game at a time, though. I want to savor every victory because the season goes so fast for me every year, then I have 7 months to wait for the next one.

M angy special teams + absence of Simms & Long = loss to Virginia
Tech, 31-24

O bliterated East Carolina, 56-20

U nhinged Delaware State, 59-16

N apalm Kansas

T errorize TCU

A nnihilate Texas Tech

I ncinerate Baylor

N ullify Oklahoma State

E masculate Iowa State

E rectile dysfunction Kansas State

R eam Texas

S hock Oklahoma

I'm with you CFE, nothing more special and exciting then Mountaineer football. The season seems too go by fast. Although I do follow Mountaineer basketball but my first love is Mountaineer Football

I still think a convincing and overwhelming win at Kansas gets WVU to break into the top 25. Can't exactly explain why but it's a vibe I'm getting. Either way though WVU will be ranked by seasons end.

Perfec game to open to the conference games with. We should get our offense rolling and it gives the defense more time to improve.
