Debate? LOL. You wouldn’t know debate if it bit you in your candy ***. Run along little fish boy. Mama’s calling.
I won’t be able to read any more of fish boy’s ramblings. He’s the first moron I’ve ever ignored.
Huge call .. would have been UK ball up 4 with the correct call.
And we would still have 3 shot clock violations. Mis-management cost us that game, not a bad ref.Nope. Would've been up 2 and UK ball. That bucket on the missed shot clock violation tied the game.
And we would still have 3 shot clock violations. Mis-management cost us that game, not a bad ref.
Yes, it was bad clock and game management, I agree. But, I'm not gonna deny the fact that the refs' terrible officiating played a role in that particular game. And we would still have 3 shot clock violations. Mis-management cost us that game, not a bad ref.
That’s not how I remember 2015
Yep. That was another terrible call against UK. There were so many it's hard to keep track. We were up two when the shot clock violation happened. Then that call tied it. Next time down Wisconsin hit a three and then they called Lyles for a charge on a flop.
Ball game.
This still blows my mind----->Halftime Score: Kentucky 41, UCLA 7
Right? It’s almost like he personally saved Vegas from losing a lot of money that season. All unintentionally I’m sure [eyeroll].I’d rather not remember how we were Higgensed that night.
Yeah, congratulations on that. Just wait until Duke is the prohibitive $$$ favorite to win the Championship, and could cost Vegas millions, just in Futures alone. Oops lol! That’s not how I remember 2015
I bet Cal emphasizes defense next year and plays exactly the offense. He will have the same approach to the three point line.
Are you proud of being a CLODite?
Yes, it was bad clock and game management, I agree. But, I'm not gonna deny the fact that the refs' terrible officiating played a role in that particular game.
The two phantom foul calls on Aaron, one being really late in the game when he contested a layup attempt by Dekker (no contact), which resulted in a trip to the FT line. The other was where they called him for a foul when he was about to box out for a rebound, with zero contact. That was his third foul and sent him to the bench. Those two were flat out terrible foul calls.
I remember all the "and ones" that Wisconsin received, while we didn't receive a single "and one" the entire game. There were three or four instances where we should've had "and ones", but they called them fouls on the floor.
I remember Wisconsin committing several traveling violations that were never called. Hell, Gasser caught an outlet pass and took FOUR strides after the catch and no call. They reset the offense, tossed the ball into Dekker. Guess what happened?! They called a touch foul on Booker and GAVE Dekker an "and one".
They shuffled and/or dragged their pivot foot and hip checked our guys all night that night and were never whistled for it, not even once. I remember their point guard saving the ball back in bounds, while going out of bounds. He then came back in bounds, grabbed the ball on the baseline and put it in for two points, with the referee standing right in front of the play. It might've been Higgins, I can't remember.
In summary, it was WAY more than the missed shot clock violation in that game. I've personally watched that game several times. A lot of people want to lay all the blame on Cal and the players. Especially people that have only watched that game the one initial time, live There is some blame there, I agree. But, to think that the refs didn't play a big role is foolish and very short sighted IMO. That team is never in a position to lose (we win going away) if that game was called consistent and even on both ends. Anyone who says differently doesn't know basketball.
Edit: I didn't even bring up the FT attempt disparity, which was very one sided. UK wasn't the beneficiary, either.
Why does Cal play slower in March? Why does he become so predictable?
I am at a point where I would like to see us play slow grind it all year. That way we are prepared when March gets here.
That game was heavily influenced by incompetent officiating. Point blank period. Some want to put it all on Cal and the team, and will never admit that refs can influence a game. We just happen to get refs who have a vendetta against Kentucky that night: Higgins and Sermons
You actually think that’s his preference? Really? Have you ever even stepped on a court?
Other teams are playing for blood dude. Defense!!!!!!!!

Personally, I think it's a mixture of both. Really can't argue the fact Cal wants to rely on halfcourt defense to win games, especially in the tournament. He hates giving up easy buckets, thus no press. Ever. You actually think that’s his preference? Really? Have you ever even stepped on a court?

I can't help but agree.Yes I do think it is his preference. We we're up ten or so early on Auburn. Cal tends to grind for no reason.
You keep bringing this up in many posts about whether or not a poster has had any experience playing or coaching as if you are trying to say that unless you have experience, then you should not criticize. So tell us all, where did you play and when, and where did you coach and when? What makes you think you know more about the game than anyone else? You actually think that’s his preference? Really? Have you ever even stepped on a court?

Wisky was very good in 15, BUT we had them winded, bent over and tired and what did we do, go to stall ball and let them rest. Dumbest damn move I ever saw.Wisconsin was simply a better team it happens. No team is ever gonna go 40-0
Then why recruit thoroughbreds if you're not gonna take advantage of their gifts??Yes I do think it is his preference. We were up ten or so early on Auburn. Cal tends to grind for no reason.
Then why recruit thoroughbreds if you're not gonna take advantage of their gifts??
This what has always confused me about Cal. He recruits athletes but refuses to turn them loose. And I really think this is used against Cal on the recruiting trail. How would Cal have utilized Zion? Would he let him run the floor and shoot threes? Then why recruit thoroughbreds if you're not gonna take advantage of their gifts??
LOL whatever.Wisconsin was simply a better team it happens. No team is ever gonna go 40-0
I think Zion would've been even better at UK than duke. I think Cal would've played Zion about the same as he did with MKG, but Zion would've shot the 3 more than MKG did. I also think we flirt with 40-0 if Zion would've been on this team. Him and PJ would've been a nightmare for opposing coaches. This what has always confused me about Cal. He recruits athletes but refuses to turn them loose. And I really think this is used against Cal on the recruiting trail. How would Cal have utilized Zion? Would he let him run the floor and shoot threes?

We never set the tone and never dictate the tempo. We almost always have the better athletes/talent and should use it and get out and run IMO. Maybe have our guards pick up 3/4 court, be disruptive and cause turnovers. At the very least, get deflections. JMO
I also can't argue that we kept running the same set for PJ against AU, repeatedly. I understand that's where the ball needs to go, but gotta mix in something different. Also, JMO.
Yeah, right. Auburn had left the floor. They had nothing to do with the game.
Utter nonsense.
If this were a one-time occurrence you might have a point, it is not. Our last few seasons minus 2017 have ended this way.
Yes, yes. You want 50 three pointers a game.
Of course they end that way. You prefer getting blown out like we did against Duke. Evenly matched teams have close games. Ill informed fans can always nit pick a game plan in hind sight. You take 50 fans, you are going get 147 grievous errors made by the coach that list the game. You are nothing more than a know it all in a room filled with know it alls. Let me give you a fact. 1 free throw and you have no discussion.
Bottom line is this. It is not going to change anytime soon. It shouldn’t change. Nothing is fundamentally wrong. Either shut up about it, leave the fan base or come here to cry. Just expect rebuttal with the latter.
You don't run the fan base. Stay in your lane.
"It shouldn't change".....you like losing?
I want more threes. See the final four for reference.
One free throw...how many years?? Do you see a pattern?
You comment. I'll offer rebuttal. Don't tell me what to do.
Dunno, if Calipari starts loosing regularly, I'll let you know. Tell you what, let's fire every single coach that has won less than him in the last 10 years. How many are left? (For those watching: The comeback will be something in regards to missed final fours and championships, though Cal either meets or exceeds all coaches past performance at KY except Rupp)
Final four. See defense for reference.
Ok, you win. We need to should 5% better free throw percentage. Might be hope for you yet. We DO NOT need to totally gut the offense and start doing stupid stuff as suggested by uninformed fans.
Got anymore wisecracks?
The mere presence of beings like yourselves is intensely painful to us.
