I'm thinking that there's a large number of them that wouldn't want to play NU right now and I think there's a pretty good percentage of them that I would feel pretty good about our chances of beating. Man I wish we could get a mulligan on some of those early losses.

I've been thinking about making a similar thread. Pitt, Army, Utah State?

I think the list of teams that wouldn't want to play NU right now is quite a bit longer than that including teams like Penn State. It will be interesting to see how we match up with Iowa. I hope the weather isn't as much of a factor in that game as I think it will be.

I don’t agree. We are still a year away. Offense has to show it can do it on a regular basis and D is still quite a ways away from where it needs to be. Could we beat a number of teams in the top 25 on any given day? Sure, but not consistently. We need to pump the breaks just a little, but it does feel damn good to know we are on our way

Who would win today, Nebraska or Utah State?

Came to my mind as well but the OP did say most. Clearly Bama, Mich, Georgia.... but there are at least 18 teams in the top 25 that want no part of Neb right now.

I think we would have a legit shot at beating anyone outside of the top 10. Besides Bama, Michigan, ND, Clemson, Georgia. I think we would make a game of it.

You guys have such an overestimated sense of self. Consider this, everyone wants a shot at beating Ohio State this year.
Just to clarify, the issue is not that Nebraska would beat most in the top 25... it’s that there are quite a few teams who wouldn’t necessarily want to play Nebraska right now. In other words, it would be a tough game they might lose.

I know, you can’t relate, since you’re no longer in the top 25, but I’m trying to help clarify it for you.
