Lots of ball handlers on this new team. McConnel and Mulcahy have similiar attributes.

I bet even Pike won't know what this team and the minute distribution for next year will look like until he gets these kids all in a gym together for a few weeks.

Even then, it will change as we hit December, January, February and March.

OK, so any guy that red shirts or sits out a year due to injury--or even sits out due to transfer--and yet completes their academic requirements in four years can be a grad transfer. Got it. Wonder where the sudden spate in grad transfers the past few years came from. So a school take a risk when they red shirt a player that he may play his 4th season as a grad transfer elsewhere?

Yes - which sometimes means you use two scholarship years to get one on the court, as in the case with Nigel Johnson. It has become much more prevalent in recent years. The number of grad transfers tripled from 2011 to 2016.

For those interested in some of the stats associated with another high profile potential target, Ismael Massoud had a full EYBL schedule with the PSA Cardinals....this is Doucoure's former AAU outfit and Massoud is playing with Tyson Ettiene, who is starting to gather recruiting momentum as a PG and 5* PG Cole Anthony, who is a true one and done player on the recruiting radar of Duke as a 2019 player....Anthony is as high as #2 overall ranking for 2019 kids so he finds himself with the lion's share of attention and workload/shots in these 32 minute games.

Back to Massoud who is seeing consistent minutes but around 16-22 minutes per contest, here are the stats....

14 Games played (last game was Sunday, the 27th)

8.0 PPG

Best game was a high of 16 with 4 3s made

Worse game was 0-8 & no points

35-115 from Field...30.4%

17-60 from 3 Point range...28.3%

25-31 from Free Throw Line...80.6%

4.5 RPG....67 total rebounds, 20 were offensive

14 Assists vs 25 Turnovers....6 total steals.

This is another Top 80-125 national recruit that could fall outside of the landing category BUT would immediately figure to be one of the signature recruits at RU....his stats aren't far off of what Hyatt had during his EYBL stint this spring.

I would not be fooled by the stats of either Hyatt or Massoud, they would be very good options to land and accelerate the process....getting either of these with Mulcahy could be a huge win...

Both complete studs. Both struggling with shooting percentages ughh

Probably better for RU's chances to land one or in a dream world both. If we can land even one dancing seems like it should be expected in the not so distant future

I think Pike gets one of the two here. He's the man and the current roster is so much easier to sell than it was before with all the new talent already added
