Longest Playoff Droughts?

With two games left to play, Lincoln is still alive hoping to end a 38 year playoff drought. 1984 was way, way back in the day and I hope the Railsplitters get er done . What are some of the other droughts out there?

Collinsville has never won a playoff football game and they have been playing football since 1919. They will be back in the postseason this year after ending an 11 year drought last year.

If they somehow get pushed down to 6A I can see a playoff win. In 7A 1-32 seeding with a potential 6-3 or 7-2 record, their opponent maybe tougher than some 8-1 teams. Outside of Alton and B East, every other team they have played is 5A or below. The next two weeks will be interesting for Collinsville.

Looks like Morton has a really long drought, Morton East goes back to 1982. I don’t see anything for Morton West.

As a combined program they made playoffs in 95 and 96.

1983 West got to quarters.Morton went 6-3 in 85 but never has made the playoffs as they fell just short.Joliet Central last & only playoff was in 1976.They had good teams that just missed in 86 & 1989.Kelly has never made the playoffs & aren’t eligible

Sadly. Lincoln's drought is unlikely to end any time soon. At 3-4 they have not defeated anyone with a winning record and they finish with 5-2 Triad.

Then next year, for reasons I don't know, they will be returning to the CS8.

Morton West qualified not East. The won the Des Plaines Valley (West Suburban Gold) in 1983
