Once A&M left the conference, then the factors that protected Texas in the conference made them equal pretty quickly and better shortly after.

But the flip side is that in this century, A&M played Texas 12 times and won three. And I'm not so sure that if they played tomorrow, that Texas wouldn't figure it out. At least against A&M. Just one of those things.
