Can anybody please tell me what the situation is with the rooftop? Is it a packed area where you have to get there early & fight for position to have a good view?

I don't know; that's not what I was asking about. I have rooftop tickets. Never been up there. Will I need to show up early to claim a space & bring a shank to defend it?

ETA: Since the rooftop tickets are more expensive than chairbacks, I would hope not.

The next 12 will be built next to the existing ones, closer to the football complex. I was told 8 of the 12 had to have firm commitments before they would be built

Never been, but I'd imagine it's much like the field level end zone seating at DWS. Need to be on the front of the railing or tall, because I doubt there's much variation in seating/standing levels being a flat roof.

My advice is to get there early to secure a seat. Yes, there are chairs available on both the lower rail, and the upper rail. But, folks rush up there and get them as quickly as possible. We got there 45 minutes before the game last Friday and were able to get a chair on the front row. But Saturday, we got there an hour and a half before the game started, and they didn’t make everyone leave after the first game, so we didn’t get a seat. Not sure how they will do it this weekend, but last weekend, rooftop passes included free buffet and non alcoholic beverages. Beer can be bought. I will be back up there this weekend.

BTW. If you really want to watch a game, there is no better seat in the stadium!

Pic was taken from the upper row.

As you said, very nice view, but I would for sure want to have some binoculars.

If you want a seat at the rail you have to get their early. It won’t be a mad dash like the berms I don’t think but you have to be in line when the gates open.

You can watch the game even if you don’t have a seat but it’s not with a seat and people will be standing around you.

You can also take in a 10x10x10 cooler and have “free” beer. Free compared to paying stadium prices.

As I’ve said before

Rather than build more Lofts we need an elevated lounges. A tower of more lounges with a rooftop area for the SRO crowd. There will be more demand for a tailgate area than there will be for a hotel room with a balcony.

12 lofts x a low end $30,000/yr price (which is lowest number I've heard) is $360,000 per year. LFL lounges are $2,000/yr plus tickets so you'd have to put 180 lounges (at least) in the same space to match revenues which is what the men in charge look at. I believe we only have 86 lounges now so you are looking at a way bigger space than what's there to come anywhere close to match $$ for that space

you can have as many beers and ice as the 10x10x10 holds and put a few paper towels over the top. They won't look under them. Ive gone in before and not even done that.

I've seen people spill beer out of a cooler right in front of the "checkers" and they let them in with it.

the current lofts are 50 a year plus 12500 for expenses a year. Maybe the next batch are a lot smaller but that's a big difference in price.

$50,000/yr if leasing only 1 yr at a time is what I was told. If you commit to more than one year the price drops per year. The $30/yr was a best case figure I heard if you committed to 3 years so that's why I was saying minimum 180 lounges,. I don't know for a fact those are totally accurate but those figures came from athletic dept employee but not one with negotiating power

I went last Saturday night and don't plan on going back. I got there right at the start of the game. They basically were down to hotdogs and cookies at that time with very little staff. Also all the seats were taken and you couldn't find a spot along the railing. I've been to the Omaha club and have had good experiences everytime but this was very different.

Saturday night was also the second game of the day. That had a huge affect on what you are saying.
