The staff assembled this roster. Where has the gm been hiding?

This team is losing to teams with less nil.

If you expected Franklin to beat osu and Oregon then shouldn't Campbell beat Wisconsin?

In one year we went from anyone can win with Franklin's roster to nobody can win with Campbell's roster.
Don't tell them how to feel! LOL
I was told Franklin was responsible for the losses when Allar threw game ending interceptions and when a DB slipped vs ND. Because he kept running those players out on the field. Now Campbell didn't know that virtually every player he brought (all but perhaps 5 or 6) aren't ready for prime time.
In fact the only hope for the season rests with the guys like Rapp, Cousins and Rojas...and the DBs that Franklin brought here. But no worries there's an elite 7th in the conference recruiting class coming to the rescue.

I don't disagree but the fact remains that no one will win with the current roster as Franklin had much Bigger Talent which is not even comparable to today. There is very little Big Ten Talent on this team.

So it's his roster with 46 transfers. Gilliam and Cambpell sure would look good out there for the PSU D, not Tenn. It's almost willful ignorance to say this is his roster as he didn't have much choice but to fill it up with players he knew he could get in. How in the actual f*** are you going to mention Oregon and PSU in the same GD sentence when it comes to rosters as well?

Since you seem a little slow on what is actually going on, you don't lose half a roster (46 players), bring in a lesser quality in some spots and somehow get better in a harder conference.....and it won't be fixed overnight in the portal as PSU thinks they are a big program, but they don't compete like a top 10 school money wise. It's going to be a couple of years to get this fixed up whether it's with Matt or someone else, but if you do fire MC good luck getting any decent HC to come here after firing a HC after less than a year after firing a HC who went to the semi's the year before. This notion that PSU is some great power is 40 years late, they aren't currently and they have a delusional set of fans that wants to be a top 5 school, but fail to realize they are more like 15-20 program. There is just as good a chance PSU is cycling through coaches for a decade or two as there is them actually getting it right....probably a better chance they flounder for years. Maybe in 2038 PSU upsets someone ranked above them....that will show James.

For whatever reason Gilliam was gone regardless, but Hoodjer certainly mishandled Amare Campbell and should have just paid him the same money they paid Rojas. This staff came here with ideas on prototypical sizes they like on defense and it does not matter with players like Campbell who are tackling machines despite being a bit short.

Really so he didn't follow his DC and get more money, it was PSU turning him away due to his height. Ahh the BS that gets spun when grown arse men can't handle their team losing. So the current staff measured him up, didn't look at his stuff from last year and said....you're too short, but we'll take our even shorter slower LB and bring him over instead.

They didn’t pay him because he’s not prototypical size. It was an absolutely stupid decision. The truth is Amare is not his listed height, which is fine. He’s a very solid player in college. I certainly would’ve paid him if I were the GM. The team looks very different with AC. EBel is 6-4 and totally lost in Conference play. Unfortunately, just about every ISU player has not translated at all to this conference.

He left to get more money. At what point do you think you will realize that taking the ISU guys was more of a need than a total long term want. You were turning over half a roster with a school that thinks it's big, but will not spend. I'm so glad you would have paid to keep him, do you have an infinite budget in your made up scenario too? I mean honestly you just said if I were GM.....what in the world is this pretend play? Since you want to pretend you know it all, what was the budget they had to fill the roster? PSU fired a HC, lost half it's roster, and scrambled to fill it with bodies.......but we should still be great. Sometimes reality is a hard pill to swallow. Some folks last year said be careful what you wish for as firing a HC isn't always a simple quick fix.

PSU isn't a top 10 school. They don't pay that way and fired a HC less than a year of making it to the national semis.....the fan base is delusional as all hell. They don't recruit top 10 classes, don't pay for them, and they certainly weren't making big splashes trying to fill that many holes.

You can single out a few individual players that maybe you could have kept if the price was right, but this team is more than a few players short of where we need to be. I don't know the logic or rationale on why decisions were made but at some point, why pay for another LB when you need an entire defensive and offensive line.

The problem isn't MC and to some degree the Problem in some cases wasn't Franklin. The thing that everybody seems to miss here is that the problem is everyone above the coaching staff, EVERYONE above the staff. CLEAN THE FREAKING HOUSE!

Does he want to get his a$$ kicked regularly by T™️osu again (likely far worse than when he was at PSU)?

Taking ISU Players out of necessity is revisionist history. In the offseason we were told Campbell skimmed the cream off a rugged ISU roster that went 8-4 because of injury. Merged with the only PSU players worth keeping 9 -3 was the floor. Especially because this isn't a real Big 10 schedule.
