Let me try to nip this in the bud.

A Christian Baker was sued, (and lost), in Oregon because they refused a gay couple. They were sent to sensitivity training as part of the settlement. It is not hard to see how a pastor who refuses a gay couple will be held to the same standard along with the Church in question. It's coming.

The Baker was punished under a STATE law in Oregon which provided that businesses could not discriminate against certain classes of people. The STATE law simply provided more protection to consumers against certain types of discrimination. Little Ms. Baker was more than free to open Mary's Christian Cakes, make it obvious to the public that she only made cakes in christian situations, and be completely exempt from that STATE's anti-discrimination laws. She didn't do that. She opened herself up to the entire public, without exception, then refused service based on someones' sexual orientation, a protected class in Oregon.

The people of Oregon or more than free to use their government to provide protections or prevent discrimination to certain classes of people. Their government is more than free to regulate businesses which open themselves up to the public at large, without restriction. What happened in Oregon was not religious discrimination. It was punishment by the government for breaking a clearly worded law against a baker who only wanted to be Christian when it suited her fancy.

And to respond to several comments in this thread, what Jesus said in the Bible about divorce and remarriage is simple and unequivocal. If the folks at Pine Lake are going to stand and clap when John and Susie each get married for the second or third time, then being outraged when Tom and Harry get married for the first time is just plain hypocrisy.

That`s why I posted it. The same folks that are celebrating this gay "victory" will be the ones who passionately back the rights of Muslims to do their thing as far as religious freedom. I`m just curious when gay rights clash with Islam and Sharia law where these "enlightened" people who are so vocal and gung ho now will end up.

Menapause isn't a ***** ain't it brother.

That's coming up next. As for me, I'm married to one woman who changes into a dozen different types of women at a moments notice, so I have my hands to full to take on any more.

it kinda like emotional Russian roulette.
