What is ironic is that we don't have to make up rumors about your players getting in fights or arrested, it typically happens once a month.
And you think your group of 85 players just happens to NEVER get in any kind of trouble whatsoever?
If so, you've got the only sampling of 85 males between the ages of 18-22 that never get into trouble. You can't honestly think that just because stuff hasn't hit the papers that it doesn't happen.
I say all that without having any knowledge of what has or hasn't gone down with Dak, nor do I really care that much.
The type of cover ups that went on at FSU were/are not uncommon. Covering up possible sexual assault, yes, that's uncommon, but handing over guys to the coaches when they get in fights or when they get caught with drugs isn't uncommon.
I'll go ahead and add that I know that Stringfellow and Elston were not the only players in the altercation where they got their disorderly conduct charges. They both got in trouble, not for fighting, but because they didn't simply obey the cops when the cops broke things up. The other players involved got to walk away with no charges, because they obeyed. That stuff happens all the time everywhere.
I'll bet any of you that have contacts within SPD or within the rumor mills of local Starkville could probably get the skinny on all that your players do or have done. 90% of the time though it goes unreported publicly. If your coaches have a good enough relationship with the local sherriff, it may even be more than 90% of the time. Just the nature of college athletics.
