CA 4 star g from Taft HS 2021...

I think someone should let him know that a possible relative of his, Bobby Lloyd - was RU's first AA and was on the same AP1st team as Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabbar).

Here's hoping we keep the CA / West Coast pipeline open.

PS My goddaughter lives in Long Beach and is black. We were just reminiscing the other day since her Godmother (my first wife) just passed in Feb. 2020, and was Episcopalian and I was either the first Jew or one of the first to be a Godfather in a Catholic Church (St. Anthony's). Anyway, she says that Myles Johnson has a following in Long Beach (Poly) and that people are beginning to know what Rutgers is about. Too bad we didn't get a chance to educate the nation on that topic in March.

His dad was a top 50 national recruit from New York City that Bob Wenzel and Eddie Jordan recruited hard...but ultimately wanted to play in the big East and went to Syracuse.

a Godfather in a Catholic Church
Hard for me, as a lapsed Catholic, to not see Michael Corleone being the godfather to his sister's baby while he had his men clipping one after the other of his enemies. And, of course, his line to his brother-in-law "Do you think I would kill my sister's husband" just before they killed him in the car.

This was in 1972 (right around the time of the Godfather).

How'd you guess...
