RU holding their own rebouding 24-23 but losing the offensive boards 7-4
Carter took the only 4 foul shots..that has to change
only 7 fouls called on each team yet peeps here whining way too much about the refs

Young is our best played right now. This seems to be a real thing now not just a couple couple of good games.
I think you are all way to hard on Carter and Duke. These guys held down the fort while our star sat. That's all I expect from them. Cockburn didn't go off. They did their job.
Then we won't win. I know somehow we beat STate Penn with only 1 3 pointer but we need more to be a winning team, no matter how good our D is

Has it been an ugly game to watch? I'm just checking the scoreboard and trying to follow this thread but have been surprised at how little the score seems to be changing.
As long as we win, I don't care how ugly it is. Both teams are obviously very good on defense, possibly to the point where the defense detracts from getting any offensive flow.
Shut up. He contributed some important minutes with Johnson in foul trouble just with some good board work.
Seems like our guys are tentative (perhaps with good cause)...when they have an open shot -trying to get it to someone else. This has caused unforced errors, steals and fumblitis.
I'd love for Young, Mulcahy, Yeboah, McConnel, Mathis to be able to just Pull The Trigger...and connect.

As bad as the shooting has been, not too bad to watch. Reminds me of a 1-0 hockey game, sometimes those are the most exciting games.
I keep dreaming for the day when Rutgers has a Douby type shooter on the court which makes these games more enjoyable to watch.

5 boards from Doucoure is about all we can ask. Would love to see him go right back up with it, but baby steps
Geo and Caleb are the only players who can shoot off the dribble and Geo is the only one that can create his own shot
Stop shooting threes. Step in and hit 2’s and keep driving to the basket. Carter and Doug have to go up strong with rebounds one foot from the rim. Caleb started strong with 3 rebounds and a steal. Defense is outstanding and must continue. Akwasi fell in love with the three after he made his first two. So now pump fake and drive it. We will get them in foul trouble if we go inside. We have missed wide open shots, and they have missed contested shots. Our defense is super elite. We can win this game as we are the better team.

How is it possible Rutgers shot 33% ?? They seemed to make 1-10 shots.
Illinois shot 19 % and they will not be that bad in the second half.
Hopefully the coaches make some adjustments.

I sure won't but he loves to go after individual players. And he's certainly wrong. The minutes Doucoure contributed were very important.
it's not like Illinois is missing a bunch of bunnies. I think they missed 2 (so did we ) but they are simply not getting good looks
RHJ had a rough first half. Time for him to turn it up in the second half.
Can we get another 2 3s from Yeboah? Will need to get at least 2 from somebody.

Great minutes from doucoure today. Did exactly what we needed him to do. It was great pikiell got him in the game. As the season goes on we will need more and more from him. It is nice to know that when we need him it big games we can count on him to come in play defense and rebound. Any point from him are just gravy.
