Not exactly breaking news, but Iowa is/was a two man team.

I guess getting as far as they did was an accomplishment in itself.

They should kick Ohio and Nevada out of the league and out of the union of the United States, give the U.S. title to Iowa and shut down the LLWS so that we can claim to be the last U.S. champions.





Because f*** Wisconsin (and Ohio), that's why.

Welp, when you can limit enrollment enough to stay in the class they are in, that's a huge advantage.
Wahlert and Marion will stand in their way.

I wouldn't hand them the crown just yet.
Lots of variables from year to year.

If I remember correctly, those kids weren't all from the Davenport area. The team is just based out of there.

During one of the broadcasts, announcers said six of the kids went to same middle school, so at least half are from same Davenport area.
Only three of them played "majors" ball.
Rest were TripleA/DoubleA kids...and it showed.

That's the issue.
They don't want to accept just anybody.
It's a "screening" process to be at, or near the top, of the class they want to be in.
Thus, it gets pretty selective based on the sport.

Good bet they wouldn't just randomly accept 50 kids from Central or West.
Then again...same shiit goes on at Whalert, Xavier, or Heelan.

One caveat...could still be kids that got vouchers to attend JFK Catholic/Trinity.

Doesn't guarantee they're all area kids.
