You know we are in the most miserable sports part of the year when it’s LLWS season. My god this **** is brutal. I can’t believe this crap gets put on TV every year. Probably have 63 year old degenerates getting on this.

(don’t @ me either, I was on one of these teams back in the day, so let me have my opinion)

This California vs Alabama game is just terrible, mistake ridden baseball.

These teams would lose to most average travel teams.

What a butt kicking

Iowa ain’t going away
There was an attractive momma in the stands cheering for the green. Surprised I was the first to point that out. Maybe Tom should open things back up as maybe ya'll have matured.

Johnson's control today was the biggest asset.
Sorry if I've already mentioned this, but when my grandson's team played them at the Iowa State tourney, he couldn't throw a strike.
That's why I underestimated their success at LLWS. I didn't think they had the pitching.😅

I'm sure I could look this up but it's easier to ask one of you gents. What is the pitch count limit for this/these tourneys? Can they roll with just these two starters?

Basically 85 pitch limit, Can go higher if you reach 85 and still facing hitter, Once hitter is retired or reaches base the pitcher is done.

4 days rest between starts.

Potentially looking ahead for the Iowa team...Thissen will pitch on Wednesday vs Nevada. Iowa likely favored.
That would set up for the US championship game on Saturday? against whomever emerges from the loser’s bracket and Johnson probably pitches in that one.
Obviously, the key has always been staying in the winner's bracket and then you can survive/thrive using just two pitchers as starters...Thissen/Johnson.
The key is limiting walks so as not to drive up pitch count and get BOTH guys to the 6th inning in each game.

No clue on their other sports. But yes Julian V was in the LLWS. It's what made me think of it. ;)

Probably the two biggest non-baseball names who played in the LLWS are Chris Drury (played in the NHL for years and is currently GM of the Rangers) and Matt Cassell (who played QB for 7 different teams over 14 years).

Pic of hot but most likely extremely douchey baseball mom?

would need to win tomorrow to make it to Saturday's champ game, unfortunately their ace cannot pitch until Sunday now
Maybe the coaches should not have displayed a severe case of nepotism when they added the 3rd base coaches 11 year old son to the team?
The kid that dropped the fly ball to LF that led to the 4 run 4th inning.
It's a two man team, exposed today.

yeah that’s what I was afraid of, the supporting cast had not helped at all.

they aren’t dead yet, still have a chance to get back in the weekend

Except they're screwed now with pitching tomorrow.
They might get mercy ruled.
Watching now...that 11 year old just got moved to RF and let's a ball drop in front of him for another run. Can't hide him.
Last thing...that fly ball to RF where the Iowa kid didn't tag up and Coach Rasso got so upset...THE KID IS LITERALLY STANDING 5 FEET IN FRONT OF YOU.
That's on you, coach.🤣🤣🤣

The coaches made the decision to try and win it all...including against the International team.

In hindsight, knowing they didn't have enough arms or the bats, certainly can question the logic of yanking Thissen.
I wasn’t watching very closely but didn’t Nevada pull their starter too?

I think at that point you could say it was still anyone’s game

Yep, but their 2nd and 3rd options were obviously better than Iowa's.

Like any tournament, staying in the winner's bracket is the key.
Announcers made it sound like Nevada is in good shape for Saturday as well.
