UK will need to reload quickly via the transfer portal mixed in with a few high school recruits. We must hire a coach that players want to play for.

Gregg Marshall? He was fired from Wichita State amid allegations. of physically and verbally abusing numerous players. You can't be serious.

Now if you meant to say Greg McDermott, we can have a positive conversation about that.

No particular order:
Tommy Lloyd
Billy D.
Gregg Marshall
Frank Vogel

You call (but know it's a no)
Jay Wright
Brad Stevens

Mitch Barnhart's list:
Anyone and everyone no one remotely wants
JFC. Why didnt you put Mike Brey and Larry Eustachy up there?
You have Gregg Marshall and Frank Vogel, and then have the gall to criticize a list from Mitch.

I cannot give you a name but the best coach is one that is hungry for wins, willing to work as hard as necessary, take advise when needed and willing to work for less that $9 million!

These threads are always so painful to read. It's always filled with the embarassment one feels listening to a call-in show. You've got like a few posters who will understand a realistic slot of options and then you have the ones who were pining for John Pelphrey and Travis Ford in 2009.

Pipe Dream stuff- Jay Wright
Not realistic options- Billy Donovan, Brad Stephens (no one in their 70s)
Realistic: Scott Drew, Nate Oates, Eric Musselman, Tommy Lloyd, T.J. Otzelberger types

Bruce Pearl is a slob with trouble with the NCAA. Not going to happen.

That Barbara Mandrell wardrobe would make the knitting crew in the lower arena green with jealousy.

Am I the only one experiencing de ja vu with these repetitive new threads and same lists of coaches? Can't we just make ONE thread?

They would try everything possible to try and make Billy Donovan happen. Mitch Barnhart has offered him the job before, even. Scott Drew would be a close second and then I would say it would be wide-open. There are issues with NBA contracts, so the bulls would likely have to want to go in a different direction, or simply like Billy and let him out to go back to college.

People talk about standards slipping but A LOT of people believe Kentucky’s best candidate has a 65% win percentage and more NIt’s than Sweet 16’d. Drives me crazy

Take a lesson from Texas A and M . Don't fire a coach until you have a committed option that is an upgrade . There are only a few who would make this list.
