*****Lipscomb vs Iowa Game Thread*****

[longliveCS40]

Yikes. Hope Coleman is OK.

[Ozzie89]

Wasn’t all the offseason talk about how much he had improved shooting wise?!

Maybe in practice when nobody is watching. He’s a bricklayer when the lights are on and looks uncomfortable shooting it

[83Hawk]

Sage and Howard need to do a lot more if Iowa has any plans of making a run this year

It’s the first game…they’ll get it figured out.

[ChicagoHawk2020]

Do they just not practice free throws?

[Rambler Hawk]

This is a **** show in so many ways.

That's being kind...YMCA rec floor and game...

[longliveCS40]

Defense has improved in the second half. Perhaps part of that is Lipscomb being tired.

[Hawksfor3]

Work on those free throws guys. 11-20 (55%).

[MAKhawks]

This. Bulldoze it over and build a new one.

keep it for wrestling but everything else you said

[Rambler Hawk]

Probably should have grabbed a few extension cords and dehumidifiers from Menards before the game.

[Ozzie89]

Nice movement against that zone

[longliveCS40]

Great passing to exploit Lipscomb's zone.

[LetsGoHawks83]

Sage with the rim rocker. That was pretty

[longliveCS40]

Nice three by Jirak. Going to need that from him.

[MAKhawks]

Combs with a nice pass to no one in the corner

[Ozzie89]

Combs is gonna drive us ******* crazy all year

Definitely the latter and also, they are just not good....

[HAWKNESS]

Combs, Howard, Coleman and Mccollum as backcourt is going to be terrifying against elite teams. I like are forwards and if Mckeever is healthy, like the big guys

[MAKhawks]

Combs is gonna drive us ******* crazy all year

Right on queue

[Rambler Hawk]

This. Bulldoze it over and build a new one.

Just fill it in....

His word has to be consistency.

He looks great in moments.
Others...
Yikes.

It was better than a live ball turnover trying to pass to Cam who wasn't looking. We've had several instances where cutters aren't ready for the ball, or they vacate the open area where the ball should go.

[longliveCS40]

I sure hope I get to see 5 missed threes by McCollum every game.

Looked like he got caught with nowhere to go.

[PeteJox]

Maybe splurge for another guard instead of giving 20 mins a game to your walk on kid.

[Franisdaman]

JFC....are they playing on an ice rink!? The operations and maintenance team better have already called the floor vendor to figure out a remedy. We're gonna lose someone to a blown out knee on this g..damn thing.

Its hot & humid inside Carver. Lots of player sweat hitting the court is ALSO creating a lot of problems.

[Ozzie89]

Ya Jaidyn Coon can play

Koch needs to shoot more than 4 times with 6 minutes left in the game also.

[Hawkfan_08*]

Still concerning our two high 4*s can't get on the floor.

[Manfredi]

In Ben I trust

[Phat Stax]

I like Coleman but dude needs to learn how to fall.

[MAKhawks]

A live look at Lipscomb

[ChicagoHawk2020]

Why is Coleman still in the game

We have no guards

[PeteJox]

Put Coon back in

Coach don’t have anymore sons?

[Hawksfor3]

Great passing to exploit Lipscomb's zone.

Here late, the passing still great, but shots difficulty in falling.
