Your kidding, right? Come on man. He looked tired having played 2 back to back games. Went 0-5 from 3. Last game against UCLA he was 2 for 3 from deep and 4 of 8 overall from the field. Nobody dominates game in and out.

This was Tariq’s first single digit game since 1/8. Before that, 12/13. He’s been incredibly consistent scoring the ball at the high major level. Full stop. Ace Bailey, for perspective, had twice as many single digit outputs during the same span.
His conditioning needs works because if you’re a March team you need to be able to carry an offense for multiple games on a row on no rest

Agreed - though outside of the BIg tourney you do get an extra day of recovery. Hopefully he won’t need to take on quite as much usage next year on offense so he’ll have more legs left in him on the other end. His D improved a lot though over the season despite the uninspiring final performance on both ends.

Tariq has the most one year potential on the roster. Anyone who doesn’t see this is blind. He showed steady improvement at almost every facet of the game over the course of the season and he did what he did without a great facilitator and virtually zero front court scoring threat to compliment his game.

Yet we have folks pointing to one off game coming off a 29 point performance claiming it proves Tariq should be a bench warmer on a decent team. Mind boggling to me.

Let’s build a team to just win the regular season and worry about a grinding tournament schedule later.

Even if true, Francis “wearing down on back to back days” should be a minimal concern.
