Kam as 6th man, or Kam and Momcilovic at the 3-4 together. We played them 3 times last year and lost by an average of 8 ppg. Not only in this team simply better, but it matches up much better physically. Not saying we are better than Florida on paper but we will have a chance to beat them no question

True but you could maybe get away with it since we have Momcilivic. Might be more balanced this way instead of having a weakness in the frontcourt that florida can spam their BS against.

Not sure how good Wilkins is on defense, but I sure hope he is better than Kam. And it does not make sense to put a much weaker offense on the floor just to be marginally better on defense.

Kam can’t play the 2 guard. A guard has to be able to dribble the ball against pressure and he can’t.

Florida is a great roster not just for UK but for all teams.

UK should go at Florida with Zoom, Wilkins, Milo, Moreno..and whomever at PF. Attack Florida's small-ish guards with Zoom and Wilkins attacking them, floor spacing with Milo and hopefully McBride/NDaiye can stretch the floor as well.

In the end, Chinyelu is a matchup nightmare for UK. We have nobody to deal with this rebounding (and I'd argue everyone will struggle the same)

Kepnang might be the answer to Chinyelu, I hope. He is a big aggressive dude. Can't wait to see that game.

They don't - you don't have to force a backup 5 to play the 4 - weird. Iowa beat them in the tourney last year and it wasn't by matching up size, it was spacing them out.

A meh UConn team had them on the ropes and should have beat them the previous tourney, but shouldn't hit an open 3. They did it with spacing.

Shooting was their achilles heal last year (#321 in the country) and they didn't do anything to improve it really. AJ Brown rather than Lee (assuming Aberdeen is not eligible)

If Mom, Wilkins, and at least one other person that night are connecting from deep we will have the spacing to do enough inside/out damage that we shouldn’t have to be too concerned about Chinyelu or anybody else when we’re on offense. On defense we’ll be playing a war of attrition and against UF it will be a dicier prospect than against most other teams but we still have the potential to keep the damage below what we can make up for with our offense.

That’s how this roster is constructed and the only way worth using it.

Kam didn’t play 1 minute at two guard for UK last year.

The way you beat Florida is make their big run all night. Pitino pressed teams into submission fron shear fatigue and if you remember, teams never hit 3 late in game to win. Mentally they were stressed just to get the ball at half court. If you can make bigs run and dribble in space you will win IMHO.

Chinyelu can run for days. He’s like Oscar was, relentless motor. Don’t think you just tire that guy out. Florida is going to be a problem — by far the #1 team in America next year imo

Uconn made them chase them around with spacing and actions. They're beatable. UConn isn't a big team and beat them last year in the Non Con and should have beaten them on their national championship run, just could not hit an open 3.

I would go with McBride instead of Kepnang personally. The spacing would be fine with him. He’s a big body and can shoot. We can beat Florida IMHO.

There’s basically zero teams that match up well with this loaded Florida roster. Especially inside.
However, sometimes things don’t end up as good as it seems on paper.

I agree. We do not match up well because what I perceive as our best rebounders and defenders are not seen as the high-minutes guys and do not provide a lot of scoring punch. Playing Florida will just be a tough situation for us this season, I can see losing by double-digits, even if we play relatively well.
