Has to be the most pathetically coached talentless bunch of burning dog poo players this university has ever put on the field. I can’t stand to watch them. Lost and confused, even the way 5 stands pre snap is bugging the **** out of me. And the DBs need to STFU after the receiver drops the ball, enough with the incomplete signs.

You realize we’re playing second and third string linebackers

Actually, Hausmann is going to be pretty good. True freshman, a lot of good reads...didn't fight the upfield shoulder on one 3rd down run....but imo, there is enough there to see a pretty good backer.

EMC missed a third down tonight where he had their back held for a lost but whiffed on the tackle. Hurt me and that’s when I guess I figure we’d lose. He’s just not fantastic. It was a great call because if EMC makes it; we probably win. That’s not on coaching . Coaching drew it up right, EMC just failed

Anyone that says this is on coaching tonight is a effing idiot. Players were in the right position. The only "mistakes" I would say were made in calls were 1) blitzing on 2nd and 12 when they hit the slant to Jones at the end of the first half 2) Going for the big play again right way on 1st and second down on the second series of the second half.

Magau-Clements is bad. Really bad. But there is something there with Hausmann.
EMC doesn't even look like a football player. The field goal kicker has bigger calf muscles. So many guys on this team are really fat. And skill guys have no muscles whatsoever

Being honest, our LB play, both inside and out is consistently poor to pedestrian. Then you get injuries and dip into your bag of reserves. It is painfully obvious we are not only not very good on D side without injuries, we take a deep dive when going down the lineup.

The sad thing to me is all we heard was how the roster was down when Frost came in. I didn't buy it then.

Absolutely. I think Hausmann has the potential to be a great player in the next few years

Yeah I do. 2nd and 3rd stringers who should be playing intramural football because they don’t even look the part let alone try to convince there is potential. Reimer is the only legit D1 linebacker we have and he was once a walkon. How could the talent evaluation of these guys have been so off?

I don’t see it. Kid consistently is lost in the shuffle, bites hard on misdirection plays, there’s a reason he disappeared after frost got fired then only reappeared when we needed bodies.

Dead on. I bagged on Reimer and Henrich quite a bit after/before/during the OU game for not making the right read and filling. Reimer was an absolute stud in the last two games. Greatly missed tonight.
Reimer plays great football. But the DL has got to keep guys off of him and he's got to be healthy. We don't have anyone who's good enough to play at 75% health and be worth a damn.

I know this is big-time college football and the idea of a senior switching over to defense is probably just idiot fan talk - but here I go anyway: I think Brewington could fall out of bed and perform better at LB than some of the guys who got playing time last night.

We’ve already had a guy go from D to O this year

why not? He’d definitely hunt some guys

His tackle on the interception showed he’s more than capable of switching to D

And even those mistakes were at least being aggressive. I think we needed to blitz more in that 2nd half.

we’re already short on TEs though so moving him causes a problem
