Lincolnton at South Point Updates

SP goes for the endzone and its intercepted. Bad, bad throw and decision. 30 yard field goal would have ended it. Overtime coming at 17-17.
Sounds like a heckuva' game, I knew I should have went. Godevils, what was the situation on the wolves broken play score? what yardline? pass or run? Also how did Lincolnton's defense handle the Redbone?
This was a slop fest. Penalties, little to no excitement. Littlejohn broke two tackles and ran it in just getting over the goal line. Congrats to the Wolves on the win. When they put out the stats tomorrow the Lincolnton running game will look better that it should. 80 and 70 yard runs and thats it.

Hats off to number 40 for Lincolnton. He disrupted a lot of plays. Solid game by both defenses.
LOL, Another player named Littlejohn on the Lincolnton team. I remember back in the day when we played them there was always a stud with the last name of Littlejohn. SMH
This is a great start to the season. LOL. With Crest barely beating Trashbrook, was the Crest game even a good win?

This game did not show much for for either team. Two good, but not great teams at this point and a lot of mistakes and penalties. Either or both teams could run deep in the playoffs with improvements but they did not show it tonight.

Puts so much pressure on a defense is encouraging. I hope we can play such good defense against a passing offense.

Sloppy game. Lincolnton's offense had plenty of opportunities to put a lot more points on the board but shot themselves in the foot. First half: in first qtr had 2nd and goal on the 1, scored a TD but called back on an illegal procedure penalty, ended up settling for a field goal; later in the half LIttlejohn missed wide open receivers in the end zone twice when the Wolves were inside the 20.
With around 5 mins left in the game on a 1st and goal Littlejohn tries a short side line throw with the receiver covered for an easy interception (the second time he did this in the game). Worse game I've seen Littlejohn play. In addition to the two interceptions he was flagged twice for intentional grounding. Thank goodness he made a couple of plays in the over time.
My analysis of South Point from what I saw: no speed, average size, very little explosiveness. I was surprised that Lincolnton's defense was able to shut them out the second half to get to OT even overcoming a bad luck TO when a short SP punt hit a Lincolnton lineman in the helmet and was recovered in Lincolnton territory.

Good analysis Linkman. This game was sloppy as heck by both teams. Lincolnton's QB had a bad game all around until 0:00 minutes. The Wolves put every single person in the box except the water boy. Every kid in the front seven for Lincolnton has the guts to take a hit and deliver a hit.
Except for three plays the big boys up front played well. They have some serious meat up front. South Point is a physical team on defense but Lincolnton's McClain is going to run all over SD7 opponents.
