In the 3rd edition of 100% completely random teams we take a look at the 2-0 Warriors of Lincoln Way West.

The Warriors come in having upset 2 of the top teams from the SWP; Plainfield C who was 8-2 last season and Oswego E who is always a favorite and bustling with talent. The most impressive aspect about their wins so far is that they're only allowing a measly 10 points per game.

LWW is always tough and last season had the ball late against The Raiders with a chance to win, leaving Brook fans nervous at the edge of our seats. This time the game is in New Lenox where the home team looks to continue their march to an undefeated season against a Bolingbrook coming off a stunning loss to a CPL school while giving up a whopping 35 points.

Can the undersized Raiders slow down this freight train?

Bones...lol easy man. I don't think you need to classify LWW as a freight train. As you may have also seen, their offense has been completely stagnant through two games. They won the Plainfield game on a punt return and managed two breakaway runs vs Oswego East.

Against Oswego East which I saw, there was zero threats in the passing game. And they just haven't seen an offensive capable like your Raiders. I don't think they will be able to put up the points to stay with Bolingbrook. I could see the first half staying close and then it getting out of hand.

You're right- West is always a tough out and are extremely well coached. Raiders limit them to 14 points or fewer, and this could be a blowout.

I dont know, going into this game last year LWW was 0-2 and Brook was 2-0; we were able to hang on by the skin of our teeth at home. You really have to see LWW as the favorite here.

The Brook will be fine. LWW squeaked by a Plainfield Central team that then got run over by Yorkville the next week. I dont see LWW stopping the Raider offense. Brook wins this by 3 TD's

OE is consistently near the top and always talented. They almost beat us in hoops 2x, that's Simeon-ish.

And from what I hear Yorkville is monsters this year. Supposed to be the class of the SWP... after Minooka 😏

Near it, but never on it, which makes it more surprising turning out quality D1 players every year. They just find a way to lose games they should win. Oswego, Plainfield north and Minooka are always mentioned before OE.

Oswego East looked good last night, strengthening my position on LWW.

And I may have to take a trip to the Plainfield E side of town 😏

Plainfield Central is far from a "top team" in the SWP. They were 7-56 the previous seven seasons before last year. Plainfield North looks like the team to beat the SWP.

PFC had the best record in the entire SWP last season. Six years ago Brook wasn't even in the playoffs. In '18 Lockport was 0-9.

I can't let you all diminish what LWW had accomplished.

SPC East is not what the SPC West is. Brook and Lockport are traditional powers.

I do agree with you that LWW is a great program and not to be overlooked by the Brook. The score of this game will be interesting to watch. My prediction: 21-7 Brook.

Lockport v Bradley will be another interesting score to watch. Should give a good idea of where those programs are at.

Bradley has me worried about the Porters. First round game with this group, thinking the Boilers get the upset done at home.

Bradley's game with Kenwood was closer than I expected even with the Kenwood QB out. I expect them to hang in there.
