Wrong. There were 39 students in the class. Only 3 of them were basketball players. The thing that got Ga was they admitted the 3 players never went to class or did any work. That was where they screwed up. Don't cooperate with the NCAA.

Well back then you were allowed 15 scholly players, so 20% of the team. Anyway, the point is they did it for 1 SEMESTER AND RECEIVED 1 CREDIT HOUR and were hammered. Meanwhile in UNCAA's case those a$$hole$ said they don't govern the coursework and don't tell universities how to run their ship. Yea right. But they can punish a kid for classes he takes in HIGH SCHOOL. Outright ridiculous.

but the UNC case was not cut-n-dry, as a matter of fact it was just the opposite, it was very complicated
i am sure that some in the NCAA felt they would lose in a Court of Law

no doubt anyone with half a brain knows UNC committed systematic academic fraud for almost three decades

i have a feeling we will see some new rules in the NCAA that will prevent another UNC case
much like the made the Cam Newton rule

No question that the circumstances had nothing to do with UNC getting off. It was the fact that it was UNC and that's it. NC State would have had the book thrown at them if they did the exact same thing. But when it comes to UNC or Duke the NCAA always finds a way to find nothing.

UofL's stance is that hookers were available to ALL their students and not ALL of the basketball players were forced to "participate" like some of their recruits, so the entire basketball team/school shouldn't be punished.

UL committed many clear NCAA violations (no wiggle room)
UNC had almost 3 decades of violations that were in a grey area (a lot of wiggle room)
