Both my kids graduated from State. I've NEVER personally made the trip to Omaha. This time just feels different. So different in fact, that I flew up alone for the elimination game Saturday night. And the feeling I had for Saturday is only stronger this morning.

This may be it fellas. I can't explain it, but i can feel it. We're gonna get this sh*t done this year.

Nope, my kids drove up last night and joined me.

I hope you’re right! It would be incredible to have a NC in a major sport. We were so close a few years ago in baseball and WBB

Soak it in brother because lord knows we don’t get many moments like this. I don’t remember much about our 1990 season, but I remember my mom checking me out of school in Memphis so that we could rush to Starkville that year, and to this day I can still hear the deafening roar from Masters hitting his line drive shot over the left field wall.

Just a freak thing to have been able to experience that moment because I think it may have been the only game we attended all season, but like you, I’ve got a serious mind to pack up when my son gets home this afternoon and drive to Omaha in the morning. I don’t know that we’ll win, but this team has already created memories that many of us will never forget, and something tells me that there are still a couple more in them. Enjoy yourself
