Red , yellow, black and white we are all precious in his sight.I don't care for the NBA as much as College hoops, I do watch it during the playoffs because the games are just competitively better. I agree with you on all the NBA "PC" caca which I don't care for...but I'm speaking strictly about the product that's on the court. Diversity did not harm the play and arguably improved the skill level among players exponentially.
@DvlDog4WVU also had outstanding examples of it in both the military and private sectors. As I said "diversity" as it's practiced on the Left means race/gender based hiring regardless of qualifications. As it should be a goal for our society I'd like to see it mean "excellence" regardless of skin color or gender. Just as @DvlDog4WVU said in his post, we are one race, we all breathe the same air, and we were all Created by the same God (he didn't say that...but I am saying it)
Blah Blah Blah. Republicans like power just as much as Democrats. If you think otherwise then you're a moron.Ah yes of course the "everybody does it defense" when Leftists are called out for their political malfeasance.
So tell me (I know you won't answer this) which Republicans oppose opening up our educational system away from government controlled monopolies via school choice vouchers? (that's not absolute power is it?)
Or try this one: Name the Republican Governors opposed to rapidly opening up their State's economies following the fear mongering and unwarranted government mandated shutdowns during the phony plandemic? (those blue State governors who stubbornly refused to open up weren't on any power trips were they?)
Or how about this one: Which Republicans oppose private Farmrers keeping their land to hand over to their surviving heirs without so called "death taxes" which forces most families into bankruptcy or forces them to give up the farm land itself because of the confiscatory inheritance taxes? (Democrats of course support private farmers keeping their land and lowering death taxes right?)
These are just a few examples of Democrat power grabs that only feed their voracious appetites for ultimate control over private property, incomes, and businesses. Got any similar examples on the part of raw power grabs from Republicans?
@NYCeer
Dammit...I knew posting in this thread with this "Uncle Tom" would end with me doing this!

Run faster @NYC_Eer ....run faster!!!!! :joy:
Blah Blah Blah. Republicans like power just as much as Democrats. If you think otherwise then you're a moron.
You can't prove by I am a "moron" by giving me a few examples. All I see you doing answering that question besides your infantile name calling is this...Blah Blah Blah. Republicans like power just as much as Democrats. If you think otherwise then you're a moron.
LOL. ATL thinks all Republicans are powerless bitches. They're such bitches they don't even want the power.Name some Republican power grabs. Stop being such a wimp like @sammyk![]()
LOL. ATL thinks all Republicans are powerless bitches. They're such bitches they don't even want the power.
Politicians all seek and crave power. I singled out Democrats for having unambiguous designs on such, and gave you examples. Where are yours about Republicans? Keep running.....LOL. ATL thinks all Republicans are powerless bitches. They're such bitches they don't even want the power.
You're better at name calling than backing up what you post. You must practice one and really suck at the other?LOL. ATL thinks all Republicans are powerless bitches. They're such bitches they don't even want the power.
You're actually more powerless than Republicans! You accuse them of being power craving lunatics like the Leftists you vote for but you can't offer one example that backs up your claim.LOL. ATL thinks all Republicans are powerless bitches. They're such bitches they don't even want the power.
I'm not accusing Republicans of anything. I vote for Republicans. You're the one saying Democrats are the only ones that crave power, which is either a) ridiculous or b) means you're saying Republicans are a bunch of bottoms. You're actually more powerless than Republicans! You accuse them of being power craving lunatics like the Leftists you vote for but you can't offer one example that backs up your claim.
Why not?
@NYC_Eer
Well you answered it atl...I'm a powerless *****...see how fast I run?

Yeah, because our politicians, media and social activists are talking about Vets when they say diversity. Pure nonsense. You’re only looking at diversity as a race based construct. Diversity is as broad as education, experience, backgrounds, etc. For instance, including veterans into an otherwise non-veteran team is diversity. Would you be opposed to that?
The race angle, I just don’t have tolerance for nor would anyone I’d think who served during a time of war. Moreover, there are minorities I work and live around that I’d take 1000 times over than the white non-productive trash out there. Non-productive hateful people are all shitbags in my eyes, irrespective of race.
The race angle is tired and wrong thinking. Similarly, the blaming of white people I believe is tired and wrong thinking. But, that said, your positioning on the racial narratives make you really no more dissimilar than other race pimps out there.
We’re one race, human. That said, I’m fine prioritizing Americans over the rest of the world.
No no...I said Democrats have an insatiable lust for raw, unchecked, unchallenged power. You proscribed same to Republicans. I gave you a few examples of Democrats practicing what I accuse them of, and you cannot offer same for Republicans. I don't think you're wrong about Republicans, but their lust for power is usually tempered with a healthy respect for the folks who give it to them. Democrats have no such respect for the voters. They have only contempt for them, and try all in their power to go over and around the voters or the Constitution which puts a check on their unquenchable thirst for power.I'm not accusing Republicans of anything. I vote for Republicans. You're the one saying Democrats are the only ones that crave power, which is either a) ridiculous or b) means you're saying Republicans are a bunch of bottoms.
100% agreement. Precisely my argument on how it should be practiced, and a shining example of how when it's based on excellence instead of race or gender it doesn't have to mean an inferior product or service. The make up of the NBA teams wasn't done in the name of diversity. Actually, it was contrary to that notion. The NBA is picking the best players possible regardless of race. The way it should be.
Nothing you said here contradicts what I said.Yeah, because our politicians, media and social activists are talking about Vets when they say diversity. Pure nonsense.
You know damn well when they say diversity they are talking about divisions and classifying us based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
I can tell you when the Virginia State Bar and General Assembly were recently bombarded about diversity complaints on the bench, they weren't advocating for more judges who served in the military.
If the selection of NBA players is based on skill, talent, etc, it isn't based on "diversity".100% agreement. Precisely my argument on how it should be practiced, and a shining example of how when it's based on excellence instead of race or gender it doesn't have to mean an inferior product or service.
That was how I took your post .100% agreement. Precisely my argument on how it should be practiced, and a shining example of how when it's based on excellence instead of race or gender it doesn't have to mean an inferior product or service.
That's just as silly. Of course Republicans, Independents and anyone else in politics has the same desire for power. That's a lazy arguments. No no...I said Democrats have an insatiable lust for raw, unchecked, unchallenged power. You proscribed same to Republicans. I gave you a few examples of Democrats practicing what I accuse them of, and you cannot offer same for Republicans. Which Republicans violated our Constitutional protections against unreasonable searches by lying to the FISA court to spy on their political opposition? Which Republicans usurped an accused Constitutional right to know what he's accused of before filing Felony charges against him in order to derail his political candidacy? Which Republicans refuse to allow taxpayers to keep more of what they earn by opposing a permanent reduction in personal income taxes and limiting the top tax rates on private businesses to no more than 20% of their earned earned income?
See the difference between what I'm accusing Democrats of when it comes to their thirst for raw power and what you accuse Republicans of for the same thing is I can tick off example after example of my assertion yet when I ask you for your examples of Republicans all I get is this....
@NYC_Eer
And this is all you will get from me on this 'ya masochist!

Left...right...left...right...left...right....keep it up @NYC_Eer ...you might make it to California where those Democrats out there will cut off whatever manhood you still have!![]()
At a time Blacks weren't even allowed to compete in the NBA or MLB or even the NFL simply because of their race. In those specific instances once the barriers to them competing were dropped, they excelled and the individual sports got markedly better from a competition and skills perspective. So "diversity" as it was introduced into professional sports which had banned participation of Black athletes based only on their color was correct. If the selection of NBA players is based on skill, talent, etc, it isn't based on "diversity".
What would happen to the NBA product if the NBA strictly followed the demography of the US population and had only 12% black athletes; 80% white athletes; 4% Asian; and 4% hispanic? The quality of the product would fall greatly but it would be diverse.
It is absolutely not diverse today. Any profession/business/etc., dominated by 1 race is, by definition, not diverse.
You are disingenuous...I'll give you that. You're firmly ensconced on the Left but you're smart enough not to defend it while still being being foolish enough to vote for it.That's just as silly. Of course Republicans, Independents and anyone else in politics has the same desire for power. That's a lazy arguments.
And you must be slow if you haven't seen I'm an Independent. I sometimes vote Republican. I sometimes vote Democrat. I don't just vote a straight ticket like you do. What I don't do is vote for Trumpers, which aren't Republican or anything else. They are RINO to use your term.
Diversity in today's world is not referring to anything other than the division of the people based on race, gender, etc. No one is talking about diversity of educations, experience and the like. Pretending that is what is meant by "diversity" is nonsense.Nothing you said here contradicts what I said.
I’m against all forms of race hustling.
I’m for a meritocracy, and diversity within the constructs of a meritocracy are more productive than a non-diverse meritocracy.
I'm not firmly ensconced on the left beyond whatever inhabits your little mind. I'm anti-Trumpers. But I like many Republican ideas, and vote for Republicans because of them. I can't help your limited to thinking someone is either Dem and Rep, and isn't able to think for themselves. You are disingenuous...I'll give you that. You're firmly ensconced on the Left but you're smart enough not to defend it while still being being foolish enough to vote for it.
I'm independent who used to vote both ways. I haven't seen a Democrat in the last couple elections I could vote for . Such a shame we can't get some strong independent politicians. They all just follow the moneyI'm not firmly ensconced on the left beyond whatever inhabits your little mind. I'm anti-Trumpers. Agreed. I had to hold my nose to vote for Biden. Personally, I just felt like even though I don't agree w/ Biden on many social issues (trans, etc), I couldn't vote for Trump, because he was more of a danger. I could be wrong. But the point is, I'd vote for whoever I thought was better for the country...Dem or Rep.I'm independent who used to vote both ways. I haven't seen a Democrat in the last couple elections I could vote for . Such a shame we can't get some strong independent politicians. They all just follow the money
What Republican issues do you support and why? Also if you can, give examples how you've voted on those issues?I'm not firmly ensconced on the left
You are such a liar. You haven't criticized any of his misguided policies! Name one and repost what your criticism was.I had to hold my nose to vote for Biden

I agree Dems are being co-opted by all this radical social agenda stuff. I think its downright stupid how 3% of the population (trans) holds so much sway. But I don't think that is nearly as dangerous as another Trump presidency and his Big Lie BS. Hopefully the Reps fine someone else other than Trump and the Dems don't role out Biden again, but I bet we'll end up w/ a rerun of the last election. And as long as the Reps don't opt for Matt Gaetz, MTG, or the like I'll probably vote for the Rep if they are running against Biden.
He knew perfectly well what Biden stood for opposed to Trump. There is no way if he's as "independent" thinking as he claims he'd have voted for that bot!You lost me when you said you voted for Biden. You were warned. Have you been studying up on Mandarin?
No. I don't live in upstate NY, and she's a Trumper.I can't help you deny what you are or how you think & vote.
I'll prove it.
School vouchers. Not a "Trump" idea. Been around for a while as a matter of fact. During the last election cycle (excluding President because you lost your marbles voting for that cretin) which Republican candidate(s) did you support or seek out based on their support for school choice vouchers? In your local race for Congress...I'm sure the Republican candidate was a strong advocate for school choice vouchers. Did you vote for that person?
I believe your Conressional representative is Elise Stefanik (correct me if I'm wrong)? If I am, who did you vote for as your Congressional Representative based on that issue which is one of the top 3 issues in this current election cycle?
![]()
Elise Marie Stefanik is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 21st congressional district since 2015
I couldn't give 2 ***** if you believe me or not.You are such a liar. You haven't criticized any of his misguided policies! Name one and repost what your criticism was.
Well we are in agreement on that at least. I didn't expect you'd answer me, but your inability to explains your deceit.I couldn't give 2 ***** if you believe me or not.
Well who did you vote for that supported school choice vouchers? Or is that another "Trump" idea you oppose as a self admitted "independent" who's firmly ensconced on the Left and prefers government control over primary education? No. I don't live in upstate NY, and she's a Trumper.
Once agian, you cannot back up what you claim. You say you're an "independent" and vote Republican. Yet you cannot or will not name who got your vote for Congress in the last election cycle. That is why I call you a bald faced liar. You prove it by doing this whenever you're asked to back up what you postNo. I don't live in upstate NY, and she's a Trumper.
It's because that simple question exposes your lie! How hard is it to criticize creepy Joe? Not hard...not at all. Have you? Not one time. If you have, repost your criticism. You can't, yet you're trying to convince this board you "held your nose" and voted for that absent minded incompetent corpse.I couldn't give 2 ***** if you believe me or not.
