We'll just keep up with government redistributing incomes from wealthy folks and running up massive amounts of debt in the process.

Do away with air travel.
All within ten years......It will be great fun watching how all the other Dem presidential candidates handle this one. It will be even more fun watching all our board lefties keeping their "lie meters" updated.

I meant you. They are liberal nuts, but they aren't a smidge different from Trumpers and current Republican office holders. Maybe we can get Mexico to pay for the Green Deal?

Just steal from Trumperism: Take it serious, not literal.

What is the defense sector these days? Yes, yes, I know we need a strong national defense, but it has grown into a massive industry of unparalleled proportions. That’s tax revenue redistributed to pay for salaries, contract jobs, appropriations for food and housing, medical insurance, research and development, and manufacturing on a very large scale.

I don’t think it’s nuts for people to re-examine where our revenue goes, who it benefits, and how changes to that system can positively affect the nation. It’s not a call for socialism to overthrow capitalism. It’s a call to change our focus of government influence over certain aspects of the market. Which happens now already. Especially with this President and his desire to control all business decisions and market forces to parlay electoral votes in 2020.

I’d like to see large scale high speed train travel implemented, expanded subway commuter lines built in suburban areas to cut down on air travel.

I’d like to see more road trip friendly resorts pop up for families on commonly used stretches of highway. Little more old school.

More cruise ship vacation packages at better rates, With more ports of departure.

Technology has already cut down on the business need for massive amounts of air travel.

But yeah, air travel isn’t going anywhere, and I hope it doesn’t.

I'm wondering if they will cancel all of their accumulated frequent flyer miles?

It's been the opposite for us. We have needed more face to face time with customers, they expect it.

Not one of our internet sales transactions is completed until they come into the dealership.

The conflict within me rises. I see that as a very good thing, and agree it’s how business should be done. So it’s hard for me to say I hope that changes.

You send a lot of trucks out by mail do you?

Actually no. They have to come into the dealership and sign their loan agreements, provide proof of insurability, make sure they understand how to operate the vehicle, then fill it up with gas before they go.

A lot of these people are from out of state?

If that screen shot hasn’t been altered, it was a massive mistake to include the word unwilling. I don’t think that is the approach, even far left democrats are taking.

That's from the kickoff notes, page 1.

The resolution: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jxUzp9SZ6-VB-4wSm8sselVMsqWZrSrYpYC9slHKLzo/preview

The notes: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5729035/Green-New-Deal-FAQ.pdf

Other highlights include farting cows, equal pay (we already have that), and other fun.

The kickoff notes state:

"Nearly every major Democratic Presidential contender say they back the Green New deal including: Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Jeff Merkeley, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, and Jay Inslee."

Some are going to have fun walking that back.

The farting cows thing sounds funny, but it’s actually an issue. And there is only an equality of pay illusion.

Once the Trump economy crashes, even rigid fvckers are going to have to change how they think about our economy. As long as we start balancing our budget and cease running a deficit, I’m willing to try things out.

Bull. I know the policies I have to go through already as a hiring manager to ensure equal pay. We aren't going to pay a teacher rocket scientist money.

I assumed you meant equality of pay regardless of gender. It’s no where near equal yet, but it’s getting there for sure.

Let's try getting the government out of business/the economy. Wouldn't that be fun??
This is where conservatives can win me over (if they were fiscally responsible), because I do think market forces are stronger than anything. The key would be information getting to people. Information on environmental contaminants, public dangers, corporate crimes etc....

But history doesn’t illustrate a very good outcome for the public when that happens.

Information on (for example) how organic produce is better for your health, what products cause cancer, what companies are environmentally friendly, and how choosing these products or services because they might be cheaper can cause more problems and costs for Americans.

When government has let business operate completely unfettered in the past, the economy never has done very well at all. And Americans have had serious issues with poverty, and lack of proper nutrition and healthcare.
