While I would ordinarily agree, I have seen cases where politicians will do this on purpose and then suddenly, everyone is talking about the “mistake” and giving them clicks online. I just have to wonder what is going on and WHY, when CORRECTING the mistake, they REFUSED to put his name in the headline, merely referring to Cal as “a basketball coach.” For me, that’s too many coincidences.

Another glaring example, one of many reasons, why print is dying a slow, undignified death.

I find more typos in the average KSR article. It's like they're not even proofread sometimes. I think it's just a lot more convenient to get news electronically. Also a lot easier to find someone online who confirms a reader's biases. So it's frustrating when print shoots themselves in the foot.

This title is bad. Unless it's part of a theme or literary device within the body of the piece, it's absolutely evidence to your point.

I hate that print is on the decline. I prefer holding a paper compared to a phone or laptop.

As a former newspaper copy editor in a past life, this makes my skin crawl. Errors in big font are the biggest no-no.

Not sure how LHL production is done now but printing was done in Louisville years ago. Gannett shut down The Courier-Journal presses in 2021, however, and it's is now printed in Indianapolis. Deadline for each day's paper is 3 p.m. the day before. Also, many of Gannett's papers across the nation are designed and "finished" (headlines, cutlines, copy fitting) by folks in Louisville. If it's the same for LHL, it's possible someone in Sacramento or Bellingham may have actually written the headline.
