Below is a link to the Lewis & Clark Tournament Bracket. This tournament has been separated into 2 divisions this year. I like this format; it should create better games and gives everyone 3 games over the course of the tournament.



Anyone have any thoughts? Reminds me of MUDECAS.

I really like it as those first round games were always pointless 95% of the time. In the past the better schools would take a hit to their powerpoints with that unnecessary 1st round games. It also has made every regular season game that much more important as teams fight to get into the top brackets. I also like how the higher seeds host until the Championships.

I thought they were going to play the Championships at Wayne State? Is it at Cedar just for covid reasons with WSC? Only thing I don't like is the girls and boys Championships being on different nights.

WSC was going to limit attendance to less than 500, so that is being held off for one year.

They girls and boys final is the same night at L-C-C this year (Monday, Feb. 8). I think you might be looking at the lower brackets. All games for girls end on Friday, Feb. 5 (except for top final) and boys end on Saturday, Feb. 6 (except for top final).

I like the format.

They always used to play the final at L-C-C. Last year they moved the final to Cedar since LCC was one of the finals participants.

I stand corrected. I veered to the left, not right of the Championship brackets. However, wish it was at Cedar, not Laurel. Don't like the potential of having the game moved and the Cedar facility is just frankly nicer along with a larger court. Overall though the changes are good. Excited to see this played at WSC in the future. It will be a great environment for the kids with the two student sections behind the baskets, on a college campus, and some chair back seats for the casual observers like myself!

I like this format because it avoids the games that are drags on wild card card averages for the top teams. No longer do they have to play games where the result is a foregone conclusion against a Division 4 opponent. At this point in the season, the strength of teams is generally established, no sense in hurting chances of higher postseason seeding (or risking injury) with an extra game.

(Essentially all they did was get rid of the first round games.)
