Entirely possible we were even a 6 BEFORE this game.

Certainly not unreasonable to think we might have been a 6 beforehand. I think we are def a 6 now.

Why would we have been a 6 before the game? None of those teams lost.
I just can't get into caring. If we somehow luck into 2 wins, the only winner is Pope while UK fans all lose.
Let’s go Auburn for possible seeding purposes only.
We have no idea how much the committee will like or not like us. We could definitely be a 6.

I think we are probably a 6-7 no matter what happens. I am not sure we could play into a 5 if we won the SEC tourney. It might be close if others teams flop, but we would be 24-12 if we won it all. I still doubt that is enough to get us a 5 unless other teams ahead of us falter early.

Winning these 2 games for sure kept us off the 8-9 line though and that was huge.
You know what that's a pretty pathetic attitude. I think you just need to sit it out for a while. I get how you got there but you've been negative for quite a while. Anyway there's nothing Pope could've done that would've changed your mind. There's plenty of time off-season to reflect and beat up on the coaching team.
That's just an average of the consensus. It doesn't mean we are DEFINITELY the first 7. That list is just a prediction. UK could easily be at the top of 6 line or the bottom of the 7 line for all we know.
And given that they value Q1 wins so much it's possible we were even before this game on the 6 line when you compare us to other teams around us.
No thanks. I'm gonna watch the ncaa tournament because I enjoy it.
Knowing ur team has no chance to make a final four or win it all isn't gonna prevent me from enjoying it overall.
No that it matters a ton with this team but I'd much rather have a 6 seed then a 5 seed.
I agree the Cats will be a 6 or a 7. At this point no matter what they do they will always have at least 12 loses and they earned the 6 or 7 seed. I tend to think if they were to beat Florida no matter what happens Saturday or Sunday, they will be a 6 seed. If they loss to Florida, they will be a 7 seed. I remember years that UK won the SEC tourney and us fans all thought they will make us a 2 seed, and we get a 4 seed (2011). These 2 wins are nice and a few more would be nicer but most of hay is already in the barn for the seed line.
Really depends on what teams do around us plus what we do tomorrow if we lose.

Wisconsin
Georgia
Villanova
Miami FL
Those are all the teams either right above us or right below us within a seed line of 6-7 range
No, we just made the Elite 8 of the SEC with the 2 wins. That is not going to move the needle much in the seeding.
No one said anything about moving the needle a ton. We were already in the range of a 6 before the game today.
6/7 is a Hell of a lot better than 8/9. We have a lot better chance of beating a 2 seed on Sat than a 1 seed providing we get past game 1
This is all irrelevant im with you. I don’t think the OP is doing anything wrong he’s just asking about seeding so I don’t have any issues I just like you cannot bring myself to care. Kentucky is just middling around and we don’t need to begin to project a happy tone as a fanbase with this garbage.
You know they can't wait to make a 7 UK 10 Miami OH matchup. You know it.

I really don’t see how we can get to a 5. Looking at the 5 seeds, I can’t see us having the resume even with a deep SECT run.
Definitely. I want the 6 or even 5 if we beat Florida. Playing a 3 or 4 seed. We can definitely beat the teams on that seed line.
This is already updated to account for losses by Louisville and BYU today and he has Louisville and Miami FL and BYU all ahead of us.

There’s a bunch of folks on here trying to tone police anyone who isn’t satisfied by two games we shouldn’t have even had to play. It doesn’t appear to have helped with our seeding. Kentucky fans as a whole are looking like a group of farm pigs gladly eating their low quality slop from farmer Mitch. Lemmings, the lot of us.

The other 6 : UL lost today but they beat us., Wis won today, BYU lost but they beat Wisconsin and have some good wins. The last 6 , UNC playing now Clemson but they beat us.
I think short of reaching the SEC final or winning it all , we might be stuck at 7.

Problem is, we are a good deal back from the last team on the 6-line and even UofL's loss today might not be enough.
However, we know that the Bracket Matrix has a lag factor to it. Many of these brackets havent factored in today's win, and some might not even factor in yesterday's win.

BYU seems like the team we'd jump before anyone else.. unless they deem losing to Houston not that big of a deal.
If we were to win tomorrow, we pass UofL and BYU for sure.. and honestly that win would put us real close to a 5 seed, with UNC, Tenn, Wisconsin vying for that last 5.
