you ain’t lying. But let me be clear, if my son got a basketball scholarship offer to UK, I’m not shooting it down behind closed doors.
My honest assessment of a similar scenario would be something I’ve never said. I would think long and hard as a parent if my son was a future NBA player and had a scholarip offer to UK and Mark Pope was the head coach.

1. Popes development of players is thin.
2. Pope doesn’t have experience with NBA talent.
3. Coaching 12 years with NBA players absent from his rosters. That’s a little long.
4. 63% winning percentage, no elite 8’s, 1 sweet 16. Going on 13 years.

5. Mark Fox on staff, another guy who doesn’t have a pedigree with great players.
6. Seeing how he managed a roster this season which was his first time managing anything close to resembling NBA players. It was as poor as it can get.
7. I’ve got coaches with championship, a record of coaching great players, a record of developing talent that are trusted names in the business wanting my kid.
8. He’s goofy, and in game coaching is bizarre.

I have always been die hard UK and I might send my son to play there regardless because of the lifetime recognition and being a part of a program like that is better over the long haul. But that’s me, people who don’t know how that works at UK, or people who didn’t grow up UK? This is why he’s
0-lifetime Recruiting top talent.

One positive about playing for Kentucky under Pope, your seasons would be short and offer plenty of opportunities for other hobbies and interests.

Your hobby is making new aliases and trolling message boards like a clown. Any others?
