Didn't get to see the match, but it looks like a hell of an effort on paper. What does next year look like for this team? Are they going to be contenders next year as well?

my first reaction was..why are they blow-drying Herbie Husker? My second reaction was...you can take the girl out of the trailer park and put her at Stanford....but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl.

Just happy that I can confidently say...this white board would not have happened in the Nebraska locker room.

Who knows.. Cook is an aggressive coach that is very successful. He just said he wanted to "wring the neck" of one of his players, so I would think he probably says and does some pretty colorful things at times as a coach.

Actually, I like a girl that can look amazingly hot...and still drop an F-Bomb at the appropriate time. I don't want to date a sailor, but women that have a rebellious streak in them and drop an F-Bomb here and there are hot to me.

The Stanford whiteboard doesn't bother me too much. I actually like to see a little fire from women's teams, because women are so goofy when they compete. You never see smiles and laughing and acting goofy during critical times of men's competition. But volleyball players are just all smiles and yucking it up at 13-11 in the 5th set of a National Championship game??? Will never understand how they can appear so light and airy during such stressful times.

Actually, what you usually see is dudes snearing and growling and angry looks on our faces during competition. And pity the person that makes a great play, because he gets the ever-loving **** beat out of him by his teammates.

Such a strong contrast between the sexes during competition.

Imagine the environmental outrage that would be unleashed if we had a picture of a chainsaw cutting down a tree on our white board.
Totally agree with you. 20 years ago we'd have laughed off what's on the board, but this day and age of political correctness, not so fast. Actually that is considered a terroristic threat. Suspensions should follow, the NCAA should investigate. The board was done by Stanford, aren't they one of the schools around the country telling us what to say, safe zones for certain people, we need gun control. You'll see a double standard nothing will be done, it will be laughed off. But just reverse that had Nebraska used something that looked like a gun against Stanford mascot, I'm pretty sure the people of power would have went after coach cook hard. Heck I believe he caught a lot of flack saying he'd go see president trump if the team is invited.

Um...I don't really think he was too serious with his post. Just goes to show you that conservatives search for ways to be offended just as much as liberals do.

It sucks that we lost, and I thought that last call was bad, but seriously who gives a **** about the board drawing. It’s just some college students having fun. Leave it to twitter warriors to overreact.
Given the elitist "progressive" propaganda that comes out of that and just about every "top" university, I think this is very significant. You know darned well what would happen if a "conservative" institution's students would have done something like that. We wouldn't have heard the end of it until heads rolled.

Hopefully Cook and instill some aggression in Schwarzenbach. She really needs to up her game. How many times did opposing setters, instead of setting to their team, just tip the ball right over her head. She stood there looking at it like she didn't have a clue. Most Frustrating!
She played.....like a Freshman. OMGoodness. How could she do that? I was more disappointed in the unforced errors from our senior leaders and veteran designated servers. THAT was our undoing. You can't have what was it 5 service errors in a set.

While I do agree that Schwartzenbach needs to get more aggressive, I think that may have been due to the fact that NU gameplanned to double block their outside pretty aggressively and it left open the dump. It happened to Stivrins also when she cheated to the outside and their setter dumped one over.

Agree, but slightly disagree. (I think there could have been evidence to overturn it to out, but i certainly wouldnt have been up in arms had they called it in and said indisputable.)
They also need to go back and learn about shapes. The center of the ball was clearly out, and thats the first point of contact for a sphere, and at first contact the ball is dead.
Not only was the ball out, clearly, but as said, was not disputable.
Nice point about "center of sphere", which was clearly out of bounds. But as the rule is written, it does leave room for ball compression as it hits the floor.

You may be right, but I’m a conservative myself and I have never believed in playing the outrage game.

well there comes a time and point where you just can't stand back and let them walk all over you either. I call out a double standard when I see it. No more no less

No man . It's a reference to an awful rap song ... The other hash tag is too
A rap song named after a basketball player, who happened to attend the University of Texas.

Edit: And again, from what I’ve heard, Lexi and Mo dated.

It was a great match. Wish NU wouldn't have had those unforced service errors in the game. We needed to play better in the 5th to win. Congrats to Stanford. We'll be fine for another run next year.
So true. If it comes down to a hair’s breadth call (which should not have been enough to overturn the first call) many other things went awry to get us there.

As far as the white board goes, it is their right to do whatever they want.. that being said, it just shows the level of class of the coaches and individuals but you could see that during the game, body language, etc. West Coast trash. But, trash is trash, liberal, conservative, California, New York or Nebraska. Snowflake trash is hard to stomach no matter the flavor...

Stanford's team is an amalgam of players from around the country and Canda, just like the university. Players are from Kentucky, California, Kansas, Alberta, Ontario, Colorado and other states and provinces. They represent themselves and their university, that's it.
