mills should have been in the game from the start, running the ball. he's the only running back we have built to be a runing back.
wandel and washington could have been a wingback. and not injured.
sure ohio state passes, we can't recruit the same players ohio state does.
plus if we run the ball our defense will be better at defending the run.

This offense sucks. We have 7 points on a team that nearly lost to 3 or 4 **** teams. The truth is we are awful and it comes down to our leadership

Love me some running the football...

First things first.... What do we do for an offensive line?

recruit big nebraska boys, and a few texans, or misery folks, put them in a program like milt and boyd epply had. then we have a stream of road grinder.

Well, for one, we have a center that struggles to snap the ball to the QB. Maybe moving under center would help that out. Our offensive line looked pretty darn good in that one drive against OSU that we ran out of the I. Things can't get much worse, might as well try it out. With a week off to prepare, who knows.

vedral isn't frazier, and washington isn't lp
and our o-line isn't the pipeline
And this isn't the 90s? What is your point? Unless we fix our OLine players, the QB, RB, and other skill positions are absolutely irrelevant as is the scheme. Won't change one freaking thing.

We still require them to develop so we’re in the same boat either way.

I agree with you completely, redwine. I am tired of the cutesy spread modern offense stuff. It's time for us to go the Wisconsin way. Or, is it the Nebraska way that Wisconsin copied and may have done so to perfection this year way? Dominate time of possession on offense with a solid defense.

You'd think 15+ years of this crap would be enough. But, the NU administration just can't seem to get enough of it.

Yes it will. More quick developing plays.

I prefer less running the ball and more swing passes. But, if we do run the ball I prefer Frost dials it up on a 3rd and 5 to get two yards.

I couldn't possibly agree more. While the vast majority of posters here only care about having more & more fluff-ball.....even though that's turned us into a losing machine for endless years they don't care. Just keep throwing the ball (anywhere & everywhere).

Pedeyshine destroyed NU cfb and HCSF has his hands full. Totally full.

What have you seen from Frost’s offense that leads you to believe it’s anything but “fluff.”

Frost may get the offense rolling again...if you think think it’s going to be physical you are dreaming.

Well duh.....mostly because he knows full well our Oline is currently marginal beyond belief. You're dead wrong sir, when he does bring back an even somewhat capable OLine he'll damn sure use it running the ball.

"Our offense is going to be committed to the run first," head coach Scott Frost said. "To varying degrees, we've thrown it and run it, but we can't go as an offense, and no one can go as an offense, without establishing the run."
