I agree, but my guess is they want the cap of 64 so that they can divide into 8 regions to make seeding the playoffs less complicated.

Yes the want it equal so I think we are looking at 430÷7 =61 or they do football only realignment 380÷6 which is about what we got now subtract the largest 6 or 7 school.
They are in the freaking west finals dude. Final 4 of the best teams in 1A. Thats kinda like being in the big pond right?
Well that's rounded up it's 60.857 so you couldn't have 61 for all 7 one classification would have to be 60. But that would leave 1A @ 61 with only 21 football schools since 40 of them are non-football so they'll need to make 1A 94 teams 54 football+ 40 non-football that leaves 332 schools that comes to 4 @ 55 and 2 @ 56 but probably wouldn't come out exactly that because they need to put the other 6 non football schools in that mix.
They will be even bigger fish in the pond if this 6a/7a happens
Yeah right you're right , I'm just saying what would make since to me but if they stick with that there's no way 7 classes at least for football it will work for 1A unless they ether realize they can't leave 1A with only 21 football teams and change their minds or like been meantioned have different classifications for football which to me would get kinda confusing okay your school is 1A for this sport but 2A for this one but I believe someone said it's been done before.
BK would love to just have 21 in football or all sports. Just think of all those trophies.
