not this year , the hall will have their hands full and expect a meltdown on the hall board after RU puts a loss on them.
The Hall is due for a loss, because they are playing above their talent level and it's time for them to be taught a lesson by a hungry Scarlet Knights team.

So for you (after the game, or late fourth quarter):
How exactly is The Hall playing above their talent level?

Back in the day the smack talk between boards was pretty heated. I hated them as much as I hate PSU now

The bottom line is the RAC makes this rivalry what it is....it's the building, the fans, the right size, it's on campus, and it's loud.....it's what makes college basketball the most attractive of the sports to take in live and even the Seton Hall fans realize that visiting the RAC and taking in the game here is the real deal.

As far as smack talk, there have been upsets in the past and the typical story is what makes this RU rebuild or version better....???

It's really just taking the time to not place all the eggs in one basket....RU has taken a longer term approach, there isn't an end all-be all for one game....the fan base is getting back into the flow and these types of games are probably not going to be "one-offs", once the 2018 and 2019 recruits start arriving and the program gets on more stable ground....Once the RAC is back, RU becomes the "event" for recruits to attend.....on campus, loud arena and winning program....

Add the finances in and at some point, RU will take charge in the state and region....The key is revenue, revenue, revenue.....add excellent coaching, a game plan/system and the identity is there.

The amount of anxiety on the SHU side is enormous right now, almost a desperate amount of need to stick around....this year will be a good year for them, after that, we're going to find out more.......it's going to be fun to watch the transition take place....it will not be immediate, but a gradual climb/build and take over.....that's as clear as I can make it.....

I got banned for posting from the SHU board for posting on the RU board a question if Myles Powell was questioned in the murder his brother committed. Wasn't even trolling, someone i know in basketball circles had texted me saying that they believed myles was being questioned whether he had knowledge the murder was going to go down (i didnt even know there was any kind of murder prior to him texting me). I have a feeling it was a he heard it from someone who heard it from someone kind of rumor. Was just genuinely curious if there was any truth to that. Feel bad for that whole situation, sounds terrible.

Ignorant smack...lol. Next year will be a consensus 20-30 ranked team and Top 3-4 in BE. Google Tauren Thompson, Jared Rhoden.......and you would cream your pants to have Jordan Walker as your PG. Tell me when you will win more than 4 B10 games...not soon.

Cream your pants???? Haven’t heard that since HS

85, Hallsoccer is the one who stated that Thompson, Powell & Cale would be the best 3 players on RU next season if they were on the RU roster. I don't agree with that. Thompson only getting 4 rebounds a game is a big come down from Delgado getting about 13 last year. If those 3 guys are so much better than anyone on RU than SHU should win in a romp next year. Powell is playing very well but a lot will be expected of him without Delgado, Rodriguez and Carrington. He just might not hit such a high % of threes next season. That we will see next year. Perhaps he will or perhaps he will not. Doucoure hardly ever shoots and plays less than half a game (16 mpg) and is getting 4.5 ppg and 4.7 rebounds a game. He will be better next season. He is averaging more rebounds per game than Thompson did for Syracuse and is only playing 16 minutes per game.
It’s too early to make this comparison. For one, youre taking a player’s stats for his entire freshman year against a strength of schedule in the top 50 last season and pitting them against a player who has played 12 games against a strength of schedule around 190. The level of competition matters. Also, Thompson only average 18 minutes per game last year so that should be pointed out. You also make the assumption that Doucoure will get better and Thompson will not.

I don't know the RU roster intimately, but let's pump the brakes a bit until you beat a team in the top 100. Ask 20 coaches who they take Thompson or Doucoure. I think we know the answer.

Seriously, IMO, Powell, Cale, Walker, Gordon and McKnight will be another strong backcourt but with a different look since Walker is a pure PG. We will be a preseason top 4 pick for the BE. Where will RU be picked next year in the B10?

Unrelated..but last game between HS teammates Carrington and Williams. That's pretty cool.

No, I believe you got banned for a post with the exact headline “Myles Powell murder investigation”. Beyond poor taste.

I’m sure with your elite education you could read and comprehend the article, but chose such an asinine title with the potential that he himself is part of the investigation in the post itself.

Doesn’t it tell you something that one of your moderators took it down? Don’t play innocent victim... because either it was malicious and poor judgment, or you’re just dumb. Your call.

I asked him to take it down after i saw how triggered the snowflakes on your board got. Didnt want someone to faint and be at fault with a buncha **** attorneys that your school produces.

And the thread title was "myles powell, murder investigation?". Now go comprehend what a , means. Had you read my post you wouldve seen i explained that someone texted me saying he believed myles was being questioned.

Here are a few more comments that SHU posters put on their board a few months back.

7/27/17 SHUathlete wrote in regards to their OOC schedule. " Local cupcakes tune up games, FDU, Wagner, St. Peter's, Rutgers". So according to them we are just a cupcake.

7/27/17 VegasPJ wrote "Note to SHUathlete, a cupcake being equated to RU is insulting to cupcakes".

8/5/17 lwyrup wrote "Rutgers will never be good".

8/5/17 HallX2 wrote "Kevin Ollie or Steve Pickles? A national championship or a solitary NCAA appearance after 8 years at Stony Brook? Kid got some bad advice he may regret". He wrote this just after Montez Mathis committed to RU.

8/5/17 "RU will not land a better class, trust me on this please". He was referring to our recruiting class as compared to SHU's for this season.

There are so many comments that SHU fans have made. These are only a few.

That was so uncalled for and I am a Rutgers fan. This is just a basketball game. No need to spread the type of rumor you tried to begin. Has nothing to do with cold temperature water particles either.

That’s right, it’s just a basketball game. Good, hearty dislike for each other, but it’s a basketball game.

Maybe I’m soft because I have RU football season tickets.
