If you're in Amsterdam, hit up this shoarma restaurant called Sefa. It's right near the tram stop that's closest to the Anne Frank house. It's really good and pretty cheap.

Also, make a trip to the Whiskey Bar. It's down the alley to the (East?) of Leidseplien. They have great scotches and a really chill atmosphere.

IJ brewery to the east of town has some good beer and it's under a windmill!
