Don't get me wrong he might, but it takes a real idiot to screw up the LSU job.

No competition in state for state's top players.

Overwhelming fan support with no end in the amount of money that can be poured into facilities.

A losing record in the SEC at LSU really takes effort. You can't just accidentally go out and have a losing SEC record, you need to really try and be an idiot. To overcome the talent at LSU and tremendous home field advantage takes real determination. Coach Miles showed true grit by leading LSU to a 1-3 home SEC record. That is not easy to do.

Im sure LSU will go back to a winning record in the SEC next year.

and UF on the road. Were they the only team to play the top 4 teams in the SEC? LSU's QB nightmare cost them this year. Miles's worst coaching mistake this was not pulling Jarret Lee earlier in the season. I think they win 9 games next year. They will have many talented players.

Recall how arrogant Spurrier was with his Florida talent and how Jackie said, "Spurrier could not coach at a smaller SEC school like MSU". Guess what, the offense does not work anymore. Today, he has two completely confused kids under center and nothing in the pipeline. One is a ticking time bomb, anyway. The other is a three year guy that has plateaued. Spurrier is my choice for the next SEC coach to be fired. He is expensive and produces mediocre returns. He may be given the option to resign to "allow him more time with family."

With respect to cooper, they actually love him in Columbia. Further, he was the recruiter for alot of their best players in their highly rated 2009 class. Evidently, Ellis Johnson does not rate Cooper very highly and Cooper has a grudge over being overstepped for DC last year.

...was solved by defenses almost 10 years ago. It has gone the way of the T-Formation, the Winged-T, the Veer, and other innovations....it is no longer an innovation and no longer a mystery to defenses. Spurrier has hung on to it, because it was his idea, just like Emory Bellard held on to the Wishbone. That is one reason I think Saban will eventually fail at Alabama. Neither one has accepted offensive innovation well.
