FWIW, the Chicago Tribune has a lengthy article today on Fred Hoiberg discussing both Nebraska and his Chicago Bulls experience. An excerpt about the Nebraska job:

“I wouldn’t have taken this job if I didn’t think we could win,” he says. “We have everything you need. It starts with the facilities. We have as nice an arena as any in college basketball. Our training table, the way we feed our athletes, is incredible. Our training facility is as good as I’ve ever seen. When you get kids on campus, you show them that. The support we have is incredible. Every season ticket has been sold already for next year. We’ll have 15,500 at every game, win or lose. Kids love seeing that. We play in a great conference. Everything is here for us to be a consistent winner."

I hadn't heard it mentioned that he will get 5 million his first year. 2.5 from Nebraska and 2.5 from the Bulls.

It just shows how important it is to have state of the art facilities. It's time for the football program to get a upgrade in facilities.

Just saw this, probably not the greatest news for Hoiberg's offense -

-----------------------------------------------
Beginning in the 2019-20 season, the men's college basketball three-point line will move more than a foot back after the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved new rules for the upcoming year.

According to Greg Johnson of NCAA.com, the line will be placed 22'1¾" away from the basket in Division I, a change from the 20'9" that has been in place since 2008.

The sport experimented with the different arc during the NIT last season and saw enough to go through with the change.
