We shall see. Sometimes the bright lights & hype make you forget you had a game last night.
Lets hope

With GEO not 100% we may see some Dadika to give Corey more rest.

On TV last night ....it felt like a home game@! GREAT CROWD!

If we get off to another good start....anything CAN happen

Thought that a lot of minutes were shared last night. Corey did expend a lot of energy on both ends - he needs to have his legs tonight or else it may be ugly.

I'd be worried about Friday. 1 thing worth noting is that this could be a Shaq 0 game so 12-15 minutes need to be filled. sa?

I suspect minutes will be similar with D and sa getting most of the shaq minutes.

I am pretty positive Shaq will not be a DNP tonight for two reasons

1. Sa is still probably banged up & so he will be limited. Shaq played 11 minutes against IU last time.

2. He is a good interior defender & with a guy like Jordan Morgan as a focal point of their offense, he will be tasked with helping to control that. I know he can step out & hit shots but so can Murphy last night & he did a good job. I expect a rotation.

These are 18-21 year kids and its only the 2nd night..there should be no excuse about legs..which was the big excuse last year. Often times team with a game under the belt may have an advantage over a team coming in cold. ...tired legs would come into play the third night

Maybe. Didn’t ‘Cuse win 5 including a 4-OT game one year?

We sat behind the bench last night. Energy seemed consistently high. Now let’s see if they can remain focused tonight.

The crowd should really help us. It should be wild at MSG. I am so much looking forward to this. Last year on the second night we looked really bad. I don't think that should have happened. I think NW jumped on us early and everything went asunder. Hopefully the crowd will really help us tonight and we can pull off a huge upset. These are kids, they should not get tired yet. I too am a bit worried about Geo. He just is not 100 % yet.

We don't take a ton of outside shots, so legs shouldn't be as much of an issue. Freeman will probably get more burn tonight against a smaller Indiana frontcourt, and he only played 18 min last night.

Doorson might have minutes limited because the Hoosiers only have one guy over 6-7, and he only plays 19 min/g... really hoping Sa is in better condition to go tonight after only having 4 minutes yesterday.

My biggest concern is Baker... the flu knocks you on your butt, and we saw that against Illinois. With any lingering effects, fatigue will be an issue on back to back nights - even only playing 19 min last night. If anyone will suffer from not having legs in their shot, it'll be him as the game wears on.

we will have the edge with the crowd and the locals rooting for us, but I am expecting a strong Indiana presence at this game as well...a lot of Red in the tonight thats for sure

Wish Geo had recovered more. He is the one I am most worried about.

We need Mike and Issa to give us good games tonight.
Yes I think we need a really big game from Issa to pull off the upset, like the best game of his career. 12 & 5 again from Mike will be needed too.

I'm very worried about a large State Penn contingent being they have the early game....

Why Sa over Doorson? Last night Doorson held his own for the most part against Murphy and actually frustrated him at times. Is it a strategic thing? Because Doorson looked the best he ever has last night. He actually was moving his feet and using his 7 ft. frame. Sa was being abused, I even saw him just watch an offensive rebound that he could have had.

I agree - Doorson is looking confident, let’s see if we can exploit him in a matchup and whether it will have a net positive. He’s been throwing some monster dunks pregame for the last few games now, so it really looks like he is trusting his body finally. If he can get post position on a 6’7 guy, we should try to trust him to finish.

Do we have the legs tonight or are we spent

Teams win tournaments by playing 4 games in 4 days and more all the time. These are 18-22 year olds and this "lack of legs" seems to be a recent phenomenom. The court isn't any longer than it used to be and the duration of the game isn't either. Good teams suck it up and play.

The only one I would be worried about is Geo. If he is still recovering which seems to be the case based on recent performances he could probably use some additional rest. Otherwise we should be good to go. I am fine with Duke getting more minutes if a better match up than Shaq. Just needs to stay away from stupid fouls.

Matchups, really, though he did do fairly well against Murphy (6-6, 230) in short stints last night. We saw 17 minutes out of Konate (6-11, 230) and 7 min out of Diedhiou (6-9, 230) from Minnesota last night.

Indiana has no one over 6-7 on the current active roster, and only two at that height (one at 220, one at 205). Tough to keep up with those guys at 7-0, 275.

Geo clearly isn't back close to 100%, and I'd hesitate to say he's even close to 75%. He was better than against Illinois, where he probably shouldn't have even played, but I worry tonight will regress as fatigue starts to creep up on him.

I said that about Minny/Iowa/Illinois and it wasn't even close.
Those 3 schools combined dont have the same # of alums indiana does in nyc. Id say as far as college alums, the nyc hoboken area is 1) Rutgers 2) psu 3) indiana and the thing is when indiana and psu come here they ALLLLL go to the games because unlike RU and our fanbase its not often they get to see their teams in this area

See RU, Wisconsin at MSG last season. Wont be that bad of a disparity where wiscy fans made up about 80% of the crowd but itll be 60/40 indiana fans imo

You're talking about a regular on a Saturday at noon after we lost 8 of 9 games. Absurd comparison com'on now lol!

The last people who will be tired tonight are corey and mike. Mike is running on adrenaline being at home and Corey wants to take the team as far as he can. I hope we see something from Geo.
