The thing about Lebron is he's great, no doubt but the excuse makers play crazy with him. His first go around in Cleveland he had nothing but he builds a big 3 at Miami and wins 1 title. When it looks like Wade and Bosh are trending downward, he heads to back to Cleveland. He doesn't have the greatest cast around him but they aren't terrible either. The thing I always heard about Melo is no one wants to play with him. The knock on Kobe is he doesn't make others better. But you never hear that with Lebron. Why can't they get better FA to Cleveland to play with the greatest. Shouldn't they be knocking on the door to play with him? Why is his supporting cast seeming to wilt again?
I think Lebron is one of the greatest individual basketball players to play the game but does he makes guys better? Without a couple Ray Allen 3's he may have 0 titles. Oh, and Cleveland will win a couple at home and make this series still. Warriors in 6.
Ok, first off, you need to check your facts on how many championships Lebron has won. It really bugs me when people talk this way about Lebron because it's complete hogwash. You act as though he just up and left Miami because Wade and Bosh were on their way out, which I think they've shown that to be premature and Lebron even said it was premature to think that way about both of them but especially Wade. That wasn't the case at all. He didn't leave Miami to go to some big market squad with several other all stars already there just to get more rings. He went to a much more difficult situation to do something that NO player has ever done in history. He went to a historically bad franchise with no FA appeal at all, so he could try to win a title for the area and city from which he is from. How can you criticize someone for doing that? He obviously learned an important lesson from the manner in which he left Cleveland and wanted to fix the situation by returning to the Cavs.
Lebron left freakin Miami Beach for effin CLEVELAND! How many FA do you know of has ever chosen to go to Cleveland over other NBA teams like the Bulls, Knicks, Lakers, etc.? How many FA have actually chosen to go to the Cavs? It's damn near impossible to get a FA to Cleveland. It's not New York or LA or South Beach, it's Cleveland, Ohio. That's why the Cavs don't draw FA, not because they don't want to play with Lebron. There is also this thing called a salary cap and you add that in with the fact that Cleveland has made ALOT of dumb moves over the years, including trading Wiggins for Love, and you get what you have with the Cavs over the years. Yet, Lebron has still carried the Cavs through playoffs after playoffs.
He has still carried the Cavs to 3 Finals with damn near no help at all. I'm sorry but Kyrie is highly overrated, as is Kevin Love. He literally has a team of role players that don't even play their role unless they're at home and even that's not a given. People constantly bash and complain about his play but what more can the guy do? He can't muscle his way down the lane every possession or try and force a shot on every trip. He has to have help and he has to try to get his teammates going. He can't do it by himself, it's just impossible. You ask about his supporting cast wilting like its his fault. Really?
Then everyone says..... Well, it it wasn't for Ray Allen hitting a 3, Lebron would only have 1 title.
Well, if more of his teammates would've done their job like they're supposed to do, like Ray Allen did that day, he may have 5 titles. So, it works both ways. The fact is that Lebron's team failures in the Finals have very little to do with him and mostly to do with his teammates. That's not an excuse, its just a fact.
