A source close to the Lakers franchise tells me some players on the roster are furious LeBron openly discusses trading them for key players in order to improve his legacy. An anonymous player said Lebron is like a kid when he doesn’t get his way. Won’t talk to players after a loss, refuses to run Darvon Ham’s plays. The locker room is being slowly divided because they think the team is better than what Lebron thinks.

Better than what LeBron thinks? The Lakers are currently 25-30, last in their division, and 13th out of 15 in their conference.

OP are you insinuating that maybe LeBron is selfish and not making teammates better so he can be seen as better and above the issues he has caused?

Nah couldn’t be, that has never been a criticism of the King, oh wait

The talking heads seem to think LA made themselves much better with trades. For me the NBA is a 4 week season starting in late May. I would like to see some new blood like Sacramento

Dude made 10 finals, with 5 different coaches, all of them flamed out except for spo in miami. Every metric created has him keeping this shiite team afloat...dude made Jr. Smith into a decent player and Kyrie a legend even though we now know Kyrie is no such thing. Lebron has OCD, is arrogant, and highly competitive and has no patience for players who do not invest into the game like he has...unless you think his 20+ years of elite ball is just because of "genetics". In 2018 he was in a similar situation...mid year trade and they rolled through the playoffs. Sadly for Lebron one year of salary cap mischief allowed the Warriors to build the greatest team of all time..2017-2018 were some of Lebron's best years and were wiped out by that team with 5 all-stars. He choked in 2011, but Kobe had a series where he shot 25% and the Lakers still beat the Celtics and everybody say Kobe is a killer...Lebron had a washed D-wade and a Bosh who went scoreless in a game 7 of the NBA finals. For those saying he causes issues...which teams of his 20 years would have improved if he was removed? I know in 2010 the Cavs won around 60 games...w/o Lebron they won 19. I know when Lebron was hurt and Kevin Love and Kyrie played without him they were 3-19. I know numbers and logic will defeat this board but come on....

Not politics as much as basic human ethos......James is a king alright, the king of POS. For anyone to profit off of slavery is vile, but it takes a POS King whose ancestors were themselves slaves to being just fine with profiting off of slavery.

And **** Nike too.

My son is way into Golden State, so this year we got NBA League Pass and I have watched a lot of games this season. They have a non commercial version so you get more of the stadium vibe.

I have to say, the quality of play and shooting ability has made huge advancements even over the past five years. The European influence has added talent and changed the dynamic. It's a different league if there wasnt guys like Jokich, Embid, Simmons, Luka, Giannini, Kylie, Gobert,....And next year Victor Wembanyama will be the biggest prospect since LeBron. There are just so many guys that can score, that the couple of superstars model LeBron won with has a hard time keeping up and gets outscored. Teams now average closer to 120 ppg vs 90-100 so those 30 points don't translate as much to overall success.

The problem now is college hoops is even more unwatchable. Its a sloppy, poor shooting, horribly officiated affair except for a few teams. In the past, I would watch March Madness without much NBA action prior to it and didn't realize the difference.

We went to a game in Oklahoma City last week and sat right behind the Warriors bench. I could see the plays Steve Kerr was drawing up on his board and hear Curry and Draymond plotting strategy during a time out. Other than when I had sideline passes for NU, can't say there is a better game experience with better access in any sport.

You would think that the greatest player in the NBA would have been able to gather more talent around him than having to go to Miami and bring a another player in so they could have a great three player rotation. He’s been a de facto GM for most of his career and the talent that is willing to play with him outside of All-Star games seems to be lacking. At some point, if you’re that talented and you’re able to bring as you seem to want to imply, substandard talent to the NBA finals, he would think players who want a ring would want to play with him where he was and not make him leave his team. Is he an all-time great player, yeah, he’s certainly on the discussion on any list of great elite, all-time players. But look at the best players he’s had over his career and you don’t think free agents and opportunities to go and play with him? Yet they didn’t. So at some point yes he is setting up the team so that he gets to be the best all-around must do everything so that everyone notices me ballplayer. You can tell as he’s gotten older and his off the court decisions that are showing self centric. Narcissistic tendencies have probably been decisions. I’ve been on the court as well. To each his own. But to say that his decisions and helping shape the teams that he’s been on. Haven’t limited top talent coming in , just not reality

Through the politics out of it. Ask anyone who works for an NBA franchise. Privilege, arrogance, POS... that's the rule, not the exception.
Which only makes the fact that Mebron has separated himself in that regard that much more impressive. His attitude transcends the game. He is everything I hate about celebrity personified.

They won a NBA championship, set the mark for best season record ever of 73-9. And then they added Kevin Durant and just crushed everyone in the playoffs. Definitely in the mix.
Kinda true but the year they went 73-9 they lost to LeBron in the Finals because Draymond couldnt stop punching dicks

I always find it hilarious that people try to bash lebron by comparing him 1 v 1 to the greatest NBA player ever. Like there is no comparison to anybody else modern except Jordan and as a Lebron-lover I still take Jordan, although it is close. Lebron's choke job in 2011 can't be overlooked, he really choked. I mean Jordan quit for a couple years due to mental health for good reasons but didn't breakdown in the finals so that for me is the separator. To argue your point, the Spurs and Warriors teams that Lebron beat are statistically rated higher than any team that Jordan beat in the finals, and the two spurs, and three warriors teams are far and away better than any team the Bulls beat in the finals. Those 5 teams are some of the best in history. This is why the Mavs loss in 2011 is SOOO bad...had he won that series he would have 5 championships with losses to teams who were massive favorites, and two upsets.

Warriors had the lead though because Kevin Love was concussed in the first few games...so injuries and weird stuff happen. I mean Warriors only won in 2015 because KL and Kyrie were both out and Lebron averaged like 40 a game to take it to 6 games. I remember they were thinking of giving him finals mvp if he lost in game 7, but the team wore out in 6.

One thing that makes Lebron great is durability and dedication to keeping his body healthy. All these nobs on the board call him selfish, yet overlook Jordan gambling until 4am, smoking cigars, and drinking liquor then having to retire early because of it. Overlook Magic sleeping with 200 woman to give himself HIV...There doesn't seem to be a young star that is OCD enough to keep their body up to play most games in a season... Luka is tubby, Zion is perpetually injured as is Lamelo. I think that is causing the most problems in the NBA...the stars aren't playing enough games and the league teams are so evenly matched because of it. The NBA feeds off of super teams, and top matchups, not two .500 teams playing in early Feb.

Don't follow basketball. I do not give a **** about it. However, Wilt dominated like no other, including the gambling addict. Was he better? Probably not. Domination for the times? Not even a question.
