The firms that do the training do a great job of selling it to execs
And even in the Public sector
When the State HR Director would go to a National Conference we would all get ready to roll our eyes at what kind of stupid sheet he/she would bring back to "make us great"
I worked in HR -class and comp-and was always amazed at what the Organizational Development folks would get the organization to spend their time on. Generally they had PhDs -and that gave them street cred
