It's going to be Seth Wallace as HC when Kirk retires, and LeVar Woods knew that as most everyone within the program does. Woods was a great coach, but he was in a dead-end situation at Iowa and leaving was his only option.Consequences of letting Fitz come to practices and getting to know staff better.
i know his and Wallace named as possible successor but no offense to either when Kirk retires Hope we get a proven HC.
This one hurts but it was a matter of time. He had no room to grow here as soon as Wallace got the Assistant Head Coach title. Hope he comes back in the future.
And a wealthy couple just dumped $400 million in there.Bummer! I wish Lavar well. Hopefully he comes back to Iowa in some capacity in the future.
Fitz will likely do well at MSU. Michigan is a rich recruiting state and he managed to get the most out of NW while he was there.
Same amount Levar did coming in. Who said that he comes in as ST Coordinator? Wouldn't he have to work his way up to get there...like Levar? Or are you just asking a question like that to be a dumb douche?what coaching experience does he have?
LeVar is a good coach, but I don't think he's head coach material for a school like Iowa. He needs to broaden his horizens and be a coordinator of something bigger than special teams.LeVar is getting ready for Kirk's departure and being qualified to throw his hat in to be the head Hawk. That's my view on this.
Where else has a coach in waiting ever worked out well at the power 5 level? It's going to be Seth Wallace as HC when Kirk retires, and LeVar Woods knew that as most everyone within the program does. Woods was a great coach, but he was in a dead-end situation at Iowa and leaving was his only option.
Jimbo Fisher at FSU?Where else has a coach in waiting ever worked out well at the power 5 level?
BF is irrelevant, Levar isn’t getting a Coordinator position at msu either, if he wants to become a HC he needs to go take a HC job at a lower level and earn a HC job just like everybody else. It's f'd up the someone like Woods has to go to another program to grow his career but someone like BF just gets handed the keys to a coordinator position.
Sorry not sorry

Basically just the chance to progress in his career..They must be paying him well. He was making $775K at Iowa. Not to mention, cost of living in Michgan is pricey. Title may be more important to him.

Bill Connelly of ESPN rated the coaching hires as of today and he had Fitz to MSU dead last of 30 new hires..the only power 4 hire in the fail category.Damn I don't want to like Mich State in the slightest bit.
Lesser standards and more money willing to be thrown at it will make a difference. Northwestern is wealthy but I don't think the NIL donors want to pay up for players. They nice knew stadium will be fine and all when we take it over when we play there.Bill Connelly of ESPN rated the coaching hires as of today and he had Fitz to MSU dead last of 30 new hires..the only power 4 hire in the fail category.
He laid out his case and mainly it was Fitz's record the last 5 years at NW. They stunk cept for the odd covid year when they got lucky.
I hope levar has not hitched his wagon to the Titanic
I of course want BG to do a thorough search for the best possible Head Coaching candidate when KF retires.Phil's current 4-2-5 defense, the one that's been top 10 in every statistical category for the last 7 years or so, was Seth's idea/creation.
