Pulled his AAU team off the court and forfeited another AAU game after he was hit with a technical. His team was playing Zion Williamson'AAU team.
You know what would solve the problem. Just push his ignore button. If no one pays attention to him, no one listens to him, wherever he is or what he's doing just ignore him. Now he has some more attention. OFC
Same thing with Kaepernick, etc. Sure he's a disrespectful prick, but acknowledging him only fuels the fire....
Our society is so anti-conformist it results in the counter-culture to rightfully judging Lavar. When everyone is against him, it creates of pocket of people that piggyback his outrageous behavior. Different, new and shocking increasingly draws peopleLavar Ball is a piece of garbage. People like him are why I think there are limits to democracy.
Exactly. He's no different than Rodman was or Draymond Green now. Those guys figured out ways to make themselves a lot of money, and it had very little to do with ball playing skills. Ball might be an idiot, but he's not stupid. He's getting exactly what he wants. A year ago no one knew who he was. Now, there is a thread with his name on it on every message board and he fills the news.
I wonder what Lavar would be doing if his sons didn't play basketball. OFC
With that mouth? I'd say telemarketer

I probably wouldn't talk to him but if I did I would ask for large fries......I wonder what Lavar would be doing if his sons didn't play basketball. OFC

Trump really does not need another one of those. Besides he does pretty well all by himself. Now, come to think of it, Hillary could use some communicating help, especially with us Deplorables.President Trump's Director of Communications
Lavar conveniently ignores the fact that "big shoe companies", in addition to profiting from player endorsements, also pay those players tons of money. So, why should there be a "knock" on big shoe companies? They actually are forced to compete for those endorsements. I do not hear players complaining about this system. For every blog, message board, social media post, etc. I feel like the "legend" of Lavar Bell expands, which is what he wants.
I actually agree with him on the point that these big shoe companies make tons of money off of players, and that he wasn't going to accept anything but top dollar for his son. Again, the "theory" of his point I agree with, the execution has been pretty poor. I must say the whole Big Baller Brand is hilarious and I'd actually enjoy seeing it become successful, more so as a knock on the big corporate companies. 0.00001% chance of that happening though.
Everything else he has done is just insane, and as a ride-or-die Lebron fan, if he goes to the Lakers, I hope Lonzo is gone and Brandon is still there.
Precisely. I mean, some people act like they don't know what an endorsement deal is. Both parties benefit.Lavar conveniently ignores the fact that "big shoe companies", in addition to profiting from player endorsements, also pay those players tons of money. Per Forbes, Kyries shoe deal pays him 8 million per year but yet he is second in sales to only The King. Kyrie is estimated to be the 9th highest paid shoe contract.Lavar conveniently ignores the fact that "big shoe companies", in addition to profiting from player endorsements, also pay those players tons of money. Very difficult to give a crap about this. Kyrie should get a better agent maybe?Per Forbes, Kyries shoe deal pays him 8 million per year but yet he is second in sales to only The King. Kyrie is estimated to be the 9th highest paid shoe contract.
Durant has the 2nd highest shoe contract at 25 million per year.
So Kyries shoes bring in more money for Nike, but Durant gets 17 million more per year?? Yes, I'd say that Nike is using Kyrie to their full advantage.
In no way am I saying the shoe system is a scam, I'm just saying most guys are actually underpaid, believe it or not. Same way that NBA players 5 years ago we're underpaid, yet they weren't complaining about it.
You do not seem to get it. What athletes are paid for endorsements is a function of competition for their endorsements. If DuRant has been around longer than Kyrie, is viewed as a better player, and has a larger fan base, he is going to get a lot more money. Shoe companies factor in how much in sales they believe a particular athlete will generate, and based on that, make their offer to the athlete for his endorsement. If their offer is highest, they get the endorsement. Besides, the issue is not how much in sales Kyrie may be generating now, but what his projected value was when he signed the contract, which may have been 4 or 5 years ago. When his contract expires, he may get a hell of a lot more as manufacturers compete for his endorsement. What Nike's sales of Kyrie shoes are now is totally irrelevant to the fairness of his current contract based upon elementary economic and financial principles.Per Forbes, Kyries shoe deal pays him 8 million per year but yet he is second in sales to only The King. And I am guessing that Lavar is going to make sure that Lonzo gets "all of the money he deserves" right? Doubt it. He would get his cut the same way shoe companies do.Per Forbes, Kyries shoe deal pays him 8 million per year but yet he is second in sales to only The King.
