Didn't Pitino struggle at Minnesota?

141-123 (.534) in 8 seasons with a terrible 54-96 (.360) mark in conference play. As a coach he loves to schedule soft and pile up wins before January and then starts dropping games like crazy in conference play. Did the same in the Mountain West this year, which is why his team needed to win the conference tournament to make the NCAAs.

Never understood why Minnesota would fire Tubby for him. Tubby had a 60.5% winning percentage in 6 seasons and won 43% of conference games. The latter isn't a great mark but still better than Pitino. Tubby also made 1 more NCAA tournament.
