Maybe I’m way off on this.... John Cohen and Kirby Hocutt are on the committee. At this point I semi expect that last two Top 8’s to be State and Texas Tech.

TCU vs Kansas State tonight is worth watching, if they drop that game we should move up another spot in the RPI. Could be looking at a situation where we went 0-2 in Hoover and our RPI actually goes up for the week.

They missed on one national seed in both ‘18 and ‘19. In terms of the order of the Top 16, they went 3/16 in ‘18 and 8/16 in ‘19. Some of that is the committee making a couple of head scratching decisions (Georgia Tech at 3 overall in ‘19 was a total joke, as proven when they got dumped in their Regional). But D1 definitely doesn’t always nail it.

Thanks for looking that up. I continue to believe state deserves a top 8 seed. But if we don’t get one, I believe it’s the Missouri series and not the tournament that caused the major problem

Don't think getting boat-raced two days in a row in Hoover won't be a big factor, especially when combined with the Mizzou meltdown.

Stanford lost to Oregon State today. Don't see how Stanford can still be a an 8 and us a 9

Don't think getting boat-raced two days in a row in Hoover won't be a big factor, especially when combined with the Mizzou meltdown.

I agree the optics of getting beat that bad look not good. But neither are bad losses from an RPI standpoint. I just don’t think run differential is something the committee is going to consider.
