It might not even be worth filling a bracket out this year. I feel this will be one of the more crazy, upset filled tournaments.

Honestly no team scares me, but I also know that we could lose to anybody. It's just a crazy year.

I actually would prefer being a #6 seed in the same Midwest bracket UK is in on the ESPN bracket. Could possibly setup a rematch with Kansas on a neutral court.

We really need to win the SEC regular season. A&M has some tough games coming up.

I think they'll have whomever wins the SEC (assuming it's UK or A&M) slotted as a 2 seed with the other slotted as a 3 or 4. And it won't matter who wins the SEC-T, much like 2011.

A&M has the easiest schedule among the contenders. They get us and USCjr at home with no return trip. Also get 2 worst teams in league as part of their 5 home and home series.

I'd take Lunardi's bracket in a heart beat, just like MdWildcat55.

How much to "reserve" that right now?

They're at Vandy this week and the Dores are in desperate need of a win. I hope Vandy pulls it off.

They're also at LSU next week.

I think they lose both of these, then IF we could go down there and steal that one in College Station, we can win the league outright.

If UK could lock into the Lunardi bracket right now, I'd take that and be overjoyed.

If you tell me UK plays like they have the last 4 games, I will put money on another Final Four trip.

Please let us get a similar region to that.

Agreed...I'd take the Lunardi bracket, no prob.

Plus I'd love to see Valpo kick IU's ***...now THAT would be some entertainment!

If we end up a 5 seed we won't be playing at the Yum Center. We would probably need to be no worse than a 3 seed to have a chance to play there.

So lets say that UK is a 3 and Xavier is a 2 and the closest regional for them is clearly the South/Louisville region, would they would put them both in the South? Both schools are basically an hour away from Louisville. Lets say Iowa or Maryland is the 1.

Of course I hope UK gets a higher seed and stays closer to home, but there is a sub-regional in Denver this year. If they are going to send them out of the Mideast it'd be my hope. I'll probably have the opportunity to work those sessions for CBS which could give me the chance to meet Cal. CBS usually calls me. No matter what your job you get an all-access press pass.

You might get your wish. If we stay in the 4-5 seed range I'd say there's a very good shot they end up in Denver.

It's gonna be great when we end up the 4 seed and get to play the 1 seed at the YUM center in the South region. It can happen

Yep. I think we would roll Iowa. They don't have a great front line. An uncoordinated 7 footer & a 6'9" stretch 4 that I would feel comfortable having Wiltjer guard. Yes, I said Wiltjer.

I honestly don't wish it. It's better for most of us if the site is closer to Kentucky. If it happens though I'll be thrilled. It's the only way UK ever comes here. There is absolutely nothing to be gained in coming out here to play CU or CSU. And I say that as a CSU fan.

UK is overdue for a good bracket.
I've been having the same thoughts ha. I feel we're due for an upset or two to happen in the games leading up to ours. I can't think of a time, since Cal, that we had some upsets happen in our brackets. It always seem we have to run through walls to get to the FF. Think of the teams Cal has had to play to just get to the FF, it's extremely impressive. So were due some luck.

I'm not sure, but I think we have always played the highest seed available, except for the final vs UCONN (2014) or maybe UCONN (2011).

See, it's brackets like the west region in Lunardi's thinking that could happen and make us all feel much more confident about a possible Final Four with this team.

Conversely, we could get yet another crappy looking draw and go out early.

However, every UK team Cal has taken into the NCAAT has made the elite eight or better every time. That in and of itself makes me very positive and optimistic for March.

This year really will be a bracket of matchups and how the breaks (upsets) fall before the Final Four is set. I think we can all agree that Lunardi's region would be welcomed come March. I know I do.

Some factors which will always help us in the tournament are :

1) BBN travels well and no matter where we end up, a big blue mist will descend wherever we go. That should give our young men some added confidence.

2) Cal usually has our guys playing really well come March. There's no reason to think it would be any different this year. Also, he's made some ..... dare I say it???

TWEAKS

hehehe

it's why I'm sticking with Kentucky, as always.

Go Big Blue !
