Late Drinking and Cooking Thread: Blue Angels edition.

Got an invite to hang out at a friends house that is on Santa Rosa sound and decided to go that way and buy some beverages. I went rogue and got St Pete’s Rum because I was in a rum mood. Never again. That **** is terrible. It’s like someone took rum and mixed it with cinnamon, paprika, and ginger. It was 17ing awful. So I bought the friend a bottle of Don Julio and it got cracked open to have some delicious margs. I drank on the rocks with a splash of sweet sour. The blues flew and it was great.

Got home and am doing a brisket overnight, drinking wine of all things. Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio. Doing a lot of pool upkeep because we have had a shitload of rain and hanging out listening to T&L. Playing 18 tomorrow so I hope the brisket is up to temp before I leave or else my wife is going to have to learn how to wrap and cooler a brisket. Have a great weekend SPSers!

Homemade margherita pizza and a goat cheese, spinach, and pine nuts pizza. Cheap *** surprisingly good bottle of merlot. Gonna play some music with my little jam group tomorrow. Life is good. #HailState

Just got back from Destin.
Really wanted to take the kids over to PCola to watch one of the practices but decided against. Honestly…I wanted to go myself..but family and all.

The weather screwed the Friday finale up. Sneak pass was too high and too slow. The Friday pass was electric and the Wednesday pass was the first I’ve ever seen as a double pass. Also the Friday show was capped off with some bad *** F-15s

that is an awesome video. makes my butt pucker up watching it.

Barksdale AFB had an air show about a month ago. we didn't go, but live about a mile from the runway. all the planes flew right over us, including the Blue Angels, but the the Thunder Birds got so close to the house, the smoke drifted down in our backyard. it was pretty awesome.

It's been a long time since I was a student at Columbus AFB learning formation in the T-38...it's still the biggest rush just to watch the Blues and T-birds doing the amazing formation routines. Though nothing beats the old F-4's and jet noise...The sound of freedom!
