Unbelievable. Well, not unbelievable given the last 15 hours or so, but you get what I mean.

Football won't get any more of my time or money until a change is made...small potatoes I know but it's more about the principle of it.

Please regale us with tales of our on-field results.

Can't wait to be Kentucky and the pupu platter and scrape by to another Liberty Bowl.

We are consistently a top25 team during the season over the last few years. We were #1 in the country.
Its been a pretty fun second decade of the century for MSU football.

Yup, we still cant beat Bama. But we also havent lost to Maine recently.

Damn I'm glad I hadn't planned to go to any signing day parties tomorrow

this is so depressing it's absolutely comical. Alabama just didn't pull him on past alone.... They out worked the staff on Lashley when West Point is 15 minutes away.

It's going to be absolute gold tomorrow watching Mullen explain this one away. It's going to look similar to the post game presser from last years loss to A&M.

If I get talked into going, I'm going to walk in, chug the first drink, give a Flair WOOO!, and hit the door. I'll call it pulling a Mullen recruiting Visit.

Don't worry, we can still probably win 7. We have 4 OOC and we can beat 2 East teams. Then sneak up one one Westbteam... That's 7.

That's all we really need and we can keep building.

Yeah, we definitely need to fire Mullen after winning 19 the last 2 years over losing some HS kids after finishing top 20 in recruiting last year**

maybe not so much as fire him. But when he is job hunting next year, everyone just starts sending " Best of luck in your next endeavor!" essages to him.

Yep. Hang a freakin' banner!

This is why I hate our fanbase so much. You are the problem.

We finally win games we're "suppose" to win. Now let's set up camp here huh? I call BS, yes we had a good year last year. Yet, we have a colossal on the field melt down the last two Novembers, get skull 17n drug by the Bears at home. But all is well because by damn we aren't losing to Maine! Nope

Could you point me to where I said fire him? Oh, that's right, I didn't.

Mullen is coasting this program right into the embankment. We can't fire him. We just have to grab the handle above the window and brace for impact.

^^^^^This^^^^^^^

Some of you guys must not have been State fans prior to about 1991. These ARE the good times.

Mullen probably wants to leave all the time because of our stupid fan base. Cry me a river because we did not beat Bama for a recruit. Water is wet also.

Getting to number 1 will end up being the worst thing that ever happened to Mullen.

I don't think anyone is chomping at the bits to fire Mullen, but why can't we at least act like we WANT to aim a little higher in football? Mullen hasn't finished any higher than 4th in the West other than '14, and the ending of that season was embarrassing. Why can't we at least WANT better than that? Why should we we be happy with our current depth and talent? When you start letting talent within walking distance of you and/or with parents that have direct ties to State slip away, there needs to be some serious meetings being held somewhere. Not to mention the late flips.

And as I said in another thread, no coach should be 1-6 vs. Les Miles.

This is my gripe with these people. Rome wasn't built in a day. Am I upset we have missed on some in state guys. Of course.. But comparing this to a Croom class is a HUGE stretch and acting as if the sky is falling is an even bigger one.

If there are Croom parallels it would be Mullen's reluctance to part with his 'boys' on the staff.

And stubbornness.

Rome wasn't built in a day. But this class means it won't be built by 2020 either.

Last year was a good class and we redshirted 18 of them. This class certainly has left much to be desired, but I think we can survive it just fine if we get back to top 20 next season. In this class, we have some decent players already... Roberson, Morgan-walker, spencer, couch, and Thompson will be good players for us. Need some of the other guys to pan out though and we have to get Kobe

A top 20 class is still probably 5th or 6th in our division. We have ground to make up and we're losing ground instead. Very frustrating.

I'm personally not in the mood to hear the let's find the silver lining crowd. At 4 million a season I expect a top 20 class every year. I don't think that's unrealistic. Top 20 money. Top 20 results.

What the 17 is a Signing Day Party?

Honest question. I live in GA & have never heard of such. Admittedly, I've only vaguely followed crootin', via SPS, the past 4 years bc basketball has sucked giant Gumby gold gonads.

My point is that the program is more consistent now. It has improved overall and improved in consistency.
I get that you dont like the list who the program has beaten. I would like to see more conference and specifically division wins too. I have the ability and perspective to realize that I like that we are better than we were before Mullen and his recruiting.

Thats my sentiment. And its not 2004 or 1990 when we could have built a program easier. But we ate competing in the strongest conference, the strongest division in all of history.
In most eras there are 1 great team and 2 good teams at a time maybe. Now our worst team goes 7-5. Its hard to build when everyone else is.
