Don't be so worried. His status is all you need. NBA champ and NCAA champ.

He just need to smile and talk.

Can someone summarize what happened in the last few days? I thought I read he had high praise for us but was out all weekend for a wedding.

Just Cal being loyal to his old friend and mentor. Remember, Brown threw Cal a lifeline when got axed in the NBA.

Cal mentioned that in the pro day.

It's good to have him around UK. Hopefully he stays around and be special advisor to HC.

I believe Brown's also the guy who gave Cal his first big break as an assistant at Kansas. And, as you noted, again reached out to him after Cal got fired by the Nets.

Cal ain't gonna forget the guy who repeatedly helped and mentored him along the way.

I just love that he got ejected on purpose so Cal can coach the team against the Nets.

Coach Cal has been tagged as the dribble drive system guy but in reality he runs what is best for his current team. Over the years he has seeked advice from coaches like JB Hall and others which helped him game plan and get the most from his roster. I see Larry Brown as one of the coaches that being around the team would only help us. He has decades of experience that Coach Cal could lean on when he has a question.

Larry Brown has created havoc at every program he has been around. I would rather not see him around the program, in any way, shape or fashion! I also understand he is a personal friend of Cal. The bottom line is that he is a cheater. He might be a great basketball mind but he isn't smart enough to follow the NCAA rules!

You guys realize we have people on staff who are incredibly limited in what they're allowed to do, right? And yet you think a man in no way involved with the program is going to be given access to players or recruits in a way that he can violate the rules?

Okay.

That's why Cal is Cal. If he forced the dribble drive, he'd be predictable like Boeheim and his 2-3 zone.

Brown has plenty of knowledge to share and coaches bounce ideas off each other all the time. But, do you think Brown runs to Roy and tells him what Cal's doing?

If you don't think it could happen you haven't been paying attention to the NCAA or Larry Brown over the past few years. It is not likely but to completely dismiss the possibility is not wise.

The NCAA raised a stink over a damn basketball we gave Cal,I'm not sayin' ..just sayin'

We have one of the sharpest basketball minds of all time breaking down film for us. I'm going to put that in the Plus column.
